The Rainbow Light

Rainbow Light
Rainbow Light
Scrying occurs near a randomly spawning Rainbow Light and they will remain in place for a certain time frame before vanishing and re-appearing in a new location. When you find a Rainbow Light you can initiate a gambling event by right clicking and examining the Scrying Stone. As long as the Rainbow Light is visible you can initiate a new gambling event. At some point you will receive the message 'this location is not active', but this doesn't mean you can't use it anymore. You just simply put enough distance between yourself and the Rainbow Light and approach it again. You can repeat this until the Rainbow Light vanishes.

The Spawnpoints

You examine a Scrying Stone near a Rainbow Light. Rainbow Lights tend to appear in the same area but not always on the same location. When multiple spawnpoints have been reported in the same area the name and coordinates of the area is given. These Rainbow Lights can be found in:

Scrying (Proces)

When you scry the three runes (Tree, Sword and Coin) will pulse a specific intensity (Dim, Soft, Bright and Brilliant) and color (Red, Blue, Green and White). For each of the three runes pulsing you will receive a notification on your screen in the order of Tree Rune, Sword Rune and finally the Coin Rune.

With each rune pulsing an intensity (Dim, Soft, Bright and Brilliant) and a color (Red, Blue, Green and White) you will have one of 16 possible outcomes per rune pulsing. With all three runes pulsing you have a total of 4096 (16 * 16 * 16) possible outcomes for this gambling event.

Scrying (Results)

After the three runes have pulsed you will receive a fourth notification on your screen that says 'You begin to search . . . ' and one of the following things can happen:

The Tome Quests

There are four types of Books:

  • Marshall (Fighters: Beserker, Bruiser, Guardian, Monk, Paladin, Shadowknight)
  • Arcanist (Mages: Coercer, Conjuror, Illusionist, Necromancer, Warlock, Wizard)
  • Diviner (Priest: Defiler, Fury, Inquisitor, Mystic, Templar, Warden)
  • Outrider (Scout: Assassin, Brigand, Dirge, Ranger, Swashbuckler, Troubador)

These books or Tomes are quest starters. When you examine one of these you will be prompted to accept a quest to kill X of a certain type of mob in zone Y in Z minutes if you are of the right class for the tome. Do not examine the book until you are ready, as the timer starts right away. It is recommended to combine the lesser, standard and greater version of a specific tome as they will require you to complete the same task only to kill an increasing amount of them (5, 10 or 20). The reward for completing these quests are adventure experience, achievement experience and an additional quest in your completed quest journal. These tomes are tradeable and can be offered to other players by using the broker.
