Ratchet (WoW)
As a part of the Steamwheedle Cartel, this small goblin-run city provides a neutral base of operations for Alliance and Horde players alike to travel, quest and trade in the Barrens.
At the eastern end of the Barrens and down the eastern road from the Crossroads, Ratchet is likely to be the first settlement that most Horde players will find in their adventuring. The majority of the quests available here are geared towards players between 15 and 25, with a select few designed for higher levels. In addition, Ratchet is a neutral town and all races are welcome there, while open warfare between the two factions is highly discouraged and liable to invoke the ire of the goblin bruisers who guard the city. Currently, Ratchet is one of the major ports of call in Kalimdor, with travel to Booty Bay and other locations available here.
