General Information

    • In order to reach this islet, one must first obtain a Sicklemoon Salt and use it on the Engraved Tablet at (H-13). The Sicklemoon Salt can be obtained from Sanraku for 500 zeni and can only be used one time.

    • The ??? respawns three minutes after Tinnin is defeated or despawns.

  • Susceptible to most status effects, though immune to Stun.

  • Spawns at 50% HP with a single head and a strong regen effect that cannot be dispelled. After a certain time period, a second head will sprout, restoring a large amount of his HP. After his last head sprouts, the regen effect will weaken considerably.

  • Is not resistant to elemental magical damage like other Hydra type mobs, though is immune to non-elemental magic ( Chi Blast, Atonement, etc).

  • Has a Draw-in effect

    • Tinnin will always use a TP move following drawing in someone.

Tinnin Special Attacks

  • Barofield: AoE Wind based magic damage with an additional Weight effect. (Circle of effect originates from Tinnin's center head).

  • Serpentine Tail: Rear conal AoE physical damage.

    • Occurs only if hate is drawn on Tinnin from behind it.

  • Trembling: AoE magic damage with an additional Dispel effect.

  • Pyric Bulwark: Self target Physical shield. (Effect cannot be dispelled)

    • Will only perform this ability if its left head is out.

  • Polar Blast: Frontal cone AoE Ice based magic damage with an additional Paralysis effect.

    • Will only perform this ability if its left head is out.

  • Polar Bulwark: Self target Magic shield. (Effect cannot be dispelled)

    • Will only perform this ability if its right head is out.

  • Pyric Blast: Frontal cone AoE Fire based magic damage with an additional Plague effect.

    • Will only perform this ability if its right head is out.

  • Nerve Gas: Frontal cone AoE magical damage with additional Curse and strong Poison effects.

    • Tinnin will always perform Nerve Gas after using a Bulwark effect.

  • Mighty Strikes: All physical attacks performed by Tinnin will deal critical damage for the duration of the effect. Denoted by the characteristic mob two-hour animation.

Historical Information

Analogous to the Persian monster Thu'ban, Tinnin is a serpent-like, fire breathing dragon of Arabian mythology.

well its somewhat weaker. The thing about this hydra is that you can do very good damage to it with magic. I've killed it 3 times with my shell and we just had 3 tanks supporting eachother and holding hate while we had 2 sams skillchain frag or darkness to be bursted. took us about 30 minutes to kill. Do not bring a bunch of melee to this, he resists melee damage as it is

Is this the weaker Version of Hydra (In waj. Woodlands), so it should be maybe same strategy, any1 know?
