FREYA:
In Norse mythology, the daughter of Njord, the sister of Frey, the wife of Odin, and the mother of Noss, a daughter. She is the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility, the Norse equivalent of Aphrodite. Friday is named in her honor. Nothing new... but she is also an ***-kicking fighter in 'Valkyrie Profile,' which when you fought her, it was almost 100% game over.
freya is cute

Hey freya in ff9 wasn't ugly, she was pretty damn cute for a rat girl and I think her drg style suited her well. Her jump was a bit weak though.
hello?

Um... >.> I am not casting Stone (heh heh) at anyone in general but after all the explainations about the origin to the name of the Tear...

What recipe requires this item, how is it used or is it just another very pretty, very rare, and very useless item???

Help me, please!!!
Value?

just a info on the nordic mythology.

Freja: The nordic goddes of fertility and love. Twin sister to Frej. She was not married to a guy named Od, which some say have a connection to Odin. She rides in a charriot that is pulled by two cats. And people would offer tribute and gifts to her when they wished for a good harvest or children or luck with love.
Frej and Freja have both given name to the swedish name for Friday which is Fredag. Fre = frej or freja. Dag = day.

Brisingamen: Literally meens "Necklace of the dwarfs" and as a thank you to the 4 dwarfs when they gave it to her they each got one night with her ( lucky them aye! ^^)

This item drops from NM Magic Pots in Tu'Lia.

It is one of the items used in an extremely high level Goldsmithing recipe for the Neck item known as 'Brisingamen'.

It's an item from Norse Mythology. It was created by 4 dwarves (known as Brisings) and worn by Freya.

In Ogre Battle, at least for the 64, Freya was a unit term for advanced Valkeries. So the game just screwed up its mythology and Freya was one specific person?

i was told today by my high level *** friend that it is used to power up the relic lance which is the grugnir which is a mythical holy lance i believe... a lot like Longinus which i honestly dont know why the relic spear doesnt turn into the longinus, being it is more holy lol longinus pierced the body of christ... yah... but grugnir is odin's lance and more true to the FF games

You realize the relic lance is called Gungnir. It would be good to look things up before posting about them.
you didn't -_-

Okay, so I thought Freya was a dragon for a short time (the term "dragoon" threw me off back then), but I certainly didn't think she was an "old hag". Just taking a good look at her makes it pretty obvious (tail!?) that she was some kind of rat person... o.o But she was still a badass. :p

Freya, Freyja, Freia, etc are all derived from the Norse Goddess, believed to have married Odin. A mythic recheck, Freya was NOT a dragoon, her favorite fighters consisted of the famous Valkyries, and she ruled over the counterpart to Valhalla.. Final Fantasy IX was a great game..but Freya disappointed me, both the fact that she was ugly(old haag), and that she was a dragoon, and her jump attack was pretty weak as well >.<, perhaps a new patch or a Japanese player will enlighten us on what this item does.. -_-
