Forgive me if i am wrong but this isn't like warcry it grants people in the party the pets killer effects which is like paralyze. The mob your fighting will become intimidated by your presence depending on the BST's pet's killer effect

Beasts > Lizards > Vermin > Plants > Beasts
Aquans > Amorphs > Birds > Aquans

so is no use to a solo BST as they have all the above killer traits anyway and cannot charm or have jug pets from any other class

Undead <> Arcane
Dragons <> Demons

Personally i dont have Killer Instinct on my BST so i might be so so wrong. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject and also the duration of it? I am thinking it is active so long as the BST's pet is active but this is just a guess.

when looking at this ability.. it seems like it *could* be useful even for only using it on myself, but then I think: When would I use it?

It has a real long recast, even after maxing it out.

Normally at 75 I don't get jugs with killer effects that match what I am fighting (or they are much too expensive).

How many XP camps at 75 do you go to that have mobs that their killer effects match what you are fighting?

after weighing in all of these factors, I really cant see the purpose of having this ability.
Still kinda useless

The only problem is that BST don't have that many uncapped Jug pets, limiting the usefulness of this skill. If you can find a natural pet that has a beneficial Killer Effect that would be nice for a party, especially the tank, to have, then great... unfortunately that's not gonna happen too often.
Maybe? Perhaps?

Hopefully this will increase the apparent usefulness of Bsts in xp parties. Sort of like a conditional but longer-lasting Warcry effect.
