Chicken Rule (WAR)

"Chickenisation" (verb): to be turned into Chicken.

Chickenisation is the game mechanic invented by Mythic developers to prevent undue ganking of lower-level characters. It takes effect whenever players are flagged for tiers lower than their current rank allows for. How it is applied differs whether you are on a server with a Core or an Open RvR rule-set:

  • Core rule-set - players entering RvR areas of a lower tier will be turned into a chicken.

  • Open RvR rule-set - players entering any area of two level tiers below will be turned into a chicken. For example, if a rank 22 character went to a tier 1 zone they would be transformed into a chicken.

Once turned into a chicken, you only have 1 hit point, so any rank 1 character will be able to kill you with a single hit. You can only change back into your original shape through death and respawn. On a Core-Server, you will be reduced to 10% of your original hit points. Also, you are able to turn back into your original form by flagging yourself for RvR, revoking it and letting the RvR timer run out which takes 10 minutes. Flying to another zone will also return you to your original form. As will logging out.
