When you accept the quest you get a special ability button that lights up when you're near a clump of mushrooms and allows you to plant a tree. If you have an active combat pet at the time, the button may be hidden behind the pet action bar, causing you to stand aimlessly in front of a clump of mushrooms wondering what to do next, like yours truly. If you don't see your special ability button, dismiss your pet!
