White Mages are the prime healers of FFXI. Capable of curing any status ailment, healing even the most reckless Galka Monk to full, or even laying the beat down upon skeletons and magic pots, a White Mage can be a great addition to most parties.

Weapon skills are abilities that become available when a player has gained 100+ TP while damaging a mob with their weapon. All weapons, with the exception of Thrown and Instruments have their own set of weaponskills. Weaponskill availability is dependent on a player's skill level with the weapon as well as the weapon itself.
The most frequently seen subjobs for a White Mage are Black Mage, Summoner, and Red Mage in most parties, with Warrior and Ninja being more commonly used during soloing and in certain merit-point camps.
