Scavenging, WoW Style  

Here we are with another year of Hallow's End and its myriad achievements like Trick or Treat and defeating the Headless Horseman upon us. To commemorate the event, the WoW Admin team at Allakhazam is offering the opportunity for a few of you to grab some free premium and even a chance at a 60-day pre-paid game card for World of Warcraft! ^[1]

Entries will undergo a rigorous judging process overseen by our content management team. Prior to submitting an entry, please ensure that you read and understand all the information below and send in your screenshots of yourself to us for entry into the contest.

Rules

1. Description. No purchase is necessary to enter. All times mentioned hereafter are Pacific Time U.S (PT). The ZAM "Scavenging, Warcraft Style" Contest (Contest) will begin at 12:01 PM on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 and continue until 11:59 AM on Saturday, October 31st, 2009. The Contest is being sponsored by ZAM (Sponsor).

2. How to Enter. Prizes are awarded via drawing. The cutoff for entries for a particular drawing is 11:59 PM on the day prior to the drawing. There is only one entry per household. You accumulate entries as follows: The entrant must submit as many of the 20 screenshots of said scavenger hunt items via email to wordaen@allakhazam.com in order to submit their entry. The winners are chosen at random from all individuals who submit the required items within the stated time frame. ZAM assumes no responsibility for lost, misdirected or late entries or entries containing incorrect or incomplete information

3. Disqualifications. ZAM reserves the right to disqualify anyone from the contest for any reason at their sole discretion. Those who are disqualified will not be allowed to post comments on the site and will be disqualified from all subsequent prize drawings. Photoshopping entries, attempting to fraud, fake or otherwise artificially create entries will be disqualified

4. Eligibility. The contest is open to anyone who is over 18 years of age. However, the Grand Prize is only eligible to legal residents of all 48 contiguous states plus the District of Columbia of the United States of America who are over 18 years of age. Anyone who is, or has been within the last 6 months, an Employee or consultant of ZAM, Blizzard or any affiliated sites is not eligible to win. Immediate family and household members of such individuals are also not eligible to win. Moderators, Editors or Bloggers for ZAM are not eligible to win. The Grand Prize will only be shipped to addresses within the 48 contiguous U.S. states and if your name is drawn, you must provide a name and address within the U.S. for shipping or be disqualified.

5. Winner Selection. There will be a total of 4 winners in the contest. A Grand Prize winner, drawn at random from contestants who collect all 20 items for the scavenger hunt, a 1st place winner, drawn at random from contestants who collect 18 of the 20 items for the scavenger hunt, a 2nd place winner, drawn at random from contestants who collect 15 items for the scavenger hunt, and a 3rd place winner, drawn at random from contestants who collect 12 items for the scavenger hunt. Contest winners are based upon all correct entries received between 12:01 PM on Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 and 11:59 AM on Saturday, October 31st, 2009.

6. Winner Notification. When your name is drawn, notification will be posted on the contest wiki page and a specific thread in the WoW General Forum by Wordaen and/or Darqflame using your forum name and/or character name. You will also be notified via e-mail at the e-mail address attached to your entry. The street address you enter will be used for shipping. You will also be notified via e-mail at the e-mail address attached to your ZAM account. You will have until 5:00 PM three days from the date your name is drawn to respond with an address where the prize can be sent. The address must be a valid location within the 48 contiguous United States of America to receive the prize. If you fail to respond in the time allotted, you will forfeit the prize and the prize will be rewarded to another randomly drawn winner from the pool of entries.

7. Prizes. Grand Prize: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a pre-paid World of Warcraft Game Card, estimated retail value of the Grand Prize is $34.95. 3 runner up prizes: The First (1st) place winner will receive a year of Premium membership to ZAM.com, the second (2nd) place winner will receive six (6) months of Premium membership to ZAM.com, the third (3rd) place winner will receive 3 months of Premium membership to ZAM.com. Winners will be responsible for any and all federal, state and/or local taxes resulting from acceptance of the prize. The Grand Prize will be shipped to be delivered to the name and address provided by the winner. The order will be shipped within one month of when the proper information is provided to the Sponsor by the winner. Prize winners cannot assign or transfer the prize to another person. No cash or prize substitution is allowed except at the discretion of Sponsor. All prizes will be awarded. If a prize cannot be awarded due to circumstances beyond the control of Sponsor, a substitute prize of equal or lesser retail value will be awarded; provided, however, that if prizes are awarded but unclaimed/forfeited by recipient, prize may not be re-awarded, in Sponsor's sole discretion. Other restrictions may apply.

8. Odds of Winning. The odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received.

9. Conditions of Participation/Release. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsors and the Contest Administrator, which shall be final in all respects. Contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All posts, comments, edits and other materials added to Sponsor's website as a result of this contest become the sole property of the sponsor and entrants authorize sponsor to use said content in whatever manner it wishes. By participating in this Contest and/or by accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release the Sponsors, their parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, units and divisions and advertising and promotional agencies and prize suppliers; each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees; and each of these companies and individuals' respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Contest and/or acceptance or use of the prize. The Released Parties shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, stolen, misdirected, postage-due, incomplete, unreadable, inaccurate, garbled or unintelligible entries, communications or affidavits, regardless of the method of transmission; (ii) telephone system, telephone or computer hardware, software or other technical or computer malfunctions, lost connections, disconnections, delays or transmission errors; (iii) data corruption, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to or alteration of entry or other materials; (iv) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by the prize or resulting from acceptance, possession or use of a prize, or from participation in the Contest; or (v) any printing, typographical, administrative or technological errors in any materials associated with the Contest. Sponsors disclaim any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participating in, or accessing or downloading information in connection with this Contest, and reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized intervention or other causes beyond Sponsor's control, corrupt the administration, security or proper participation of the Contest. Sponsors may prohibit you from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in their sole discretion, they determine you are attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or any other unfair participation with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives. This Contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of California. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction within California and you hereby submit to jurisdiction in California.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
