River of Souls (Rift Event)  

River of Souls is a Rift world event that launched March 30 and will run in phases. We have no eta for the end of the event.

Phase 1: Growing Darkness

New rifts and invasions from the Plane of Death are appearing across the world. Visit Sanctum or Meridian to learn how you can help defend Telara and earn Otherworldly Sourcestones, which can be used to obtain items of power and mystery.

World Event Merchants

The currency for this event is Otherworldly Sourcestone, which can be received as a quest or Rift reward. The rewards are available from the merchants below and from at least one of the two Daily Quest NPC's in the cities.

Patch 1.11 Note: Significantly increased the Otherworldly Sourcestone rewards for daily quests and added them as dropped items to event Rifts, Invasions, and Zone Events.

• Guise of Death - 500 Otherworldly Sourcestone (Min Level: 30)
• Lesser Soul-Iron Loop - 50 Otherworldly Sourcestone (Calling: Mage}
• Soul-Iron Loop - 100 Otherworldly Sourcestone (Calling: Mage, Min Level: 30}
• Greater Soul-Iron Loop - 200 Otherworldly Sourcestone (Calling: Mage, Min Level: 50}
• Exalted Soul-Iron Loop - 300 Otherworldly Sourcestone (Calling: Mage}

Quests

Daily Quests

There are three daily quests in Sanctum and Meridian: each rewards one Otherworldly Sourcestone. The Quest NPCs also sell the same items as the World Event Merchants.

Sister Belladonna in Tavril Plaza or Seruldu Elhar in Epoch Plaza

• Exorcising Evil (10) - Find a Corrupted Essence
• Harbinger of Sorrows (15) - Seal 3 rifts from the Plane of Death

Brother Hyperion in Tavril Plaza or Niddya Falstone in Epoch Plaza

• Shadows of Regulos (15) - Use the Sphere of Glimpsing where the ward is weak in Sanctum and destroy 3 Shadows of Regulos

Zone Quests

All zones should have at least one Breadcrumb quest which leads to the NPCs in the City. Here's what's been reported so far:

• Gloamwood Pines, Gloamwood:
• Two Guardian Priests - They both give the same Breadcrumb quest back to Sanctum...
• Bolstering the Defense (10) - Bring the report to Sister Belladonna in Sanctum
• Sanctum Watch, Silverwood

Item Triggered Quests

• Evanescing Shadestone - This is received from closing a Death rift. Examine it to receive:
• Diminishing Returns - Bring the Evanescing Shadestone to Sister Belladonna in Sanctum
• Corrupted Essence - Seems to be rewarded for participation in a Death rift, or death invasions that have werewolves.

Phase 2: The Reaping
