Primary Uses

RET This a good build for arenas at a high gear level and when paired with the right partner(s). While also considered a nice spec to bring to a raid thanks to its group and raid buffs that other pallies are without.

Tier 1

  • Benediction - Mana cost of seals and judgments are reduced by 15%.

Tier 2

Tier 3

  • Vindication - Successful melee attack have a chance to lower targets stats by 15%.

  • Conviction - Increases your melee critical chance by 5%.

  • Seal of Command - Grants a chance to deal additional Holy damage equal to 70% of normal weapon damage.
Judging this will cause an instant 228 to 252 Holy damage, 456 to 504 if the target is stunned or incapacitated.

  • Pursuit of Justice - Lowers the chance to be hit by spells by 3% and increases movement speed by 15%.

Tier 4

  • Eye for an Eye - Spell criticals cause 30% of the damage back from its source but the damage can not exceed 50% of the pallies total health.

  • Crusade - Increases damage dealt to humanoids, demons, undead, and elementals by 3%.

Tier 5

  • Sanctity Aura - Increases holy damage of party members in range of aura by 10%.

  • Improved Sanctity Aura - Buffs sanctity aura to give + 2% damage to those affected by it.
    • This is a great group buff and its a great reason to bring a ret pallie to a raid.

Tier 6

  • Vengeance - After landing a critical hit the pallie gains + 5% physical and holy damage for 30 seconds, stacks up to 3 times.
    • Without this a ret pallie could not keep his dps up high enough to be consider a good raid dps.

Tier 7

  • Sanctified Seals - Increase your crit with melee and spells by 3% and makes seals undispellable.

  • Repentance - Stuns a humanoid for 6 seconds, break upon damage.

  • Divine Purpose - You take 10% less damage from melee and ranged critical hits.

Tier 8

  • Fanaticism - Increases critical chance of judgments that can crit by 15% and reduces threat by 30%.

Tier 9

  • Crusader Strike - Causes 110% of weapon damage in a instant attack and refreshes all judgments on target.
    • This allows the pallie to keep many judgments on a boss at once (ex wisdom, light, and crusader) which is a great buff for a raid.

Typical Points Spent

All points on a ret pallie will be spent inside the ret tree with an exception of 5 to 13 depending on hit rating.

Raid Dps Spec 5/8/48

  • 5/5 Divine Strength
  • 5/5 Improved Devotion Aura (Redoubt is just as useful and it doesn't matter.)
  • 3/3 Precision (This is only reason to get Redoubt or Improved Devotion Aura, and if you have max hit for two-handers without it then skip all the prot tree and possibly pick up 5/5 Divine Inellect with 3 extra points for ret tree.)
