Job Description

Mithra Puppetmaster
Mithra Puppetmaster
These wandering performers entertain crowds and confound their enemies with a customizable puppet known as an "Automaton." Puppetmasters can also fall back on hand-to-hand fighting skills that utilize the flexible movements of their art.

Puppetmaster is unlocked after completing the quest No Strings Attached (Puppetmaster Flag Quest)


Spells and Abilities

Job Abilities

Job Abilities are activated abilities unique to a specific job that enhance job performance in some way. This can include, but is not limited to, increasing armor or damage for a short time, initiating a special attack or triggering a party buff.

Activate 1 Calls forth your Automaton.
Repair 15 Repairs your Automaton using an Oil.
Ventriloquy 75 (Merit) Exchanges Emnity between the Puppetmaster and the Automaton.
Role Reversal 75 (Merit) Exchanges hit points between the Puppetmaster and the Automaton.

Job Traits

Job Traits are passive abilities that are always active for your job. Job Traits often boost stats, increase mp regeneration, or add resistances to status effects.

Resist Slow I 10 Gives a slight resistance to the Slow effect
Evasion Bonus I 20 Increases your evasion ability
Martial Arts I 25 Decreases your base Hand-to-Hand delay.
Evasion Bonus II 40 Increases your evasion ability
Martial Arts II 50 Decreases your base Hand-to-Hand delay.
Evasion Bonus III 60 Increases your evasion ability
Martial Arts III 75 Decreases your base Hand-to-Hand delay.
Optimization 75 (merit) Grants a bonus to your automaton's attack, defense, and magic attack.
Fine-Tuning 75 (merit) Grants a bonus to your automaton's accuracy, ranged accuracy, evasion, and magic defense.

Two-Hour Ability

Two-Hour Abilities are job-specific active abilities with a cool down timer of two hours. These are often incredibly powerful abilities, but often have adverse effects as well such as depleting an MP pool or dealing physical damage to the player.

Overdrive 1 Augment the fighting ability of your Automaton to it's maximum ability.

Pet Commands

Some jobs go into battle with a faithful pet at their side, pet abilities allow these jobs to issue commands to their pet in order to have them attack, follow, stay and even cast beneficial or damage spells.

Retrieve 10 Orders your Automaton back to your side.
Deactivate 1 Deactivates your Automaton .
Fire Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of fire attachments
Water Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of water attachments
Ice Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of ice attachments
Earth Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of earth attachments
Wind Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of wind attachments
Thunder Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of thunder attachments
Dark Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of dark attachments
Light Maneuver 1 Enhances the effect of light attachments
