Nights of the Dead (EQ2 Live Event)

The Nights of the Dead is the annual Halloween Live Event. It generally runs from Mid-October through Mid-November.

The official dates for Nights of the Dead 2010 have not yet been announced.

Quests

The quests are ordered from most recent introduction to the event to the oldest.

Devotee Challenge

NEW! Want to prove you're a Nights of the Dead Devotee?

In your in-game mailbox, you will receive a mail with the item Nights of the Dead Devotee Challenge attached. Examine this item to trigger the quest Nights of the Dead Devotee.

The devotee quest will require you to visit many popular Nights of the Dead spots, so be on the lookout so you can prove your worth!

Introduced in 2010.

The Hedge Hollow

Speak to Altius Volfban at Port Naythex in Nektulos Forest. You will be sent to The Hedge Hollow for:

A Nightmarish Illness - Altius is too weak now to continue his search for a cure! Someone should help him... (cannot be repeated)
A Nightmarish Return - The condensed version of A Nightmarish Illness (repeatable)

NEW REWARD! - Table of Torturous Instruments

Train to Zone! - Speak to a terrified gnome any run through the maze beyond your original (repeatable once every 18 hours)

NEW REWARD! - Sinister Web Spider Tapestry

Haunted Mansion

Speak to Freid Deekat in Gorowyn, Kelethin, Neriak, New Halas, North Qeynos or West Freeport. He will send you to Loping Plains for:

NEW REWARD! - Sathirian skull candlestick

There Will Be Ghosts (repeatable)

NEW REWARD! - sealed stone sarcophagus

They Won't Miss It - on a repeat run, open a chest in the upper level of the mansion (repeatable once per year)

Did you know the Haunted Mansion has lots of "spooky" Lore and Legend quest starters? This place of haunting also holds the infamous book, Destroy All Vampires!.

Introduced in 2008.

McQuibble's Farm

Solve the mystery of McQuibble's Farm in Antonica and save Ponchy's pies! Speak to Ponchy Shorttoe in Windstalker Village to begin the series. All four quests are non-repeatable.

Introduced in 2005.

The Haunted House

In North Qeynos or West Freeport you can explore The Haunted House with the quest:

Trick-or-Treat

Speak to the Gigglegibber Trick-or-Treater in North Qeynos or West Freeport for some classic fun!

Go trick or treating with the Gigglegibbers (you can do this as much as you like!)

Quests

Altius Volfban at Port Naythex in Nektulos Forest has A Nightmarish Illness, and is too weak now to continue his search for a cure. Someone should help him... (This is the first quest involving the new instance, The Hedge Hollow).

Encounters

The Headless Horseman (Epic x2) has been seen in Nektulos Forest!

Goodies

New costume illusions, available from a Nights of the Dead merchant.
Some slight new additions have been added to some of the older NotD events.
A place of haunting now holds the infamous book, Destroy All Vampires!.
Fun new house items to perfect your own haunted home: a blanket of fog and screeching noise box.
