EQ2 Quest:The Lost Legend of Lavastorm  

This is the Heritage Quest for the Crown of King Tranix.

• Command of the Krombral language is required to start or complete this quest.
• Command of the Druzaic language is required to start or complete this quest.

It is given by Fendaris K'Lorn in Lavastorm. He is found in the Shrine of Thunder, on the docks, at -125.76, -114.96, 628.18 Copy .

1. The first step is to kill goblins in Lavastorm until you have obtained 20 shards of the broken goblin tablet. This is an auto-updating, uncommon piece. After completing this task return to Fendaris.
2. He then requires you to collect 8 goblin banners written in a secret goblin code. They are in order folowing the wall to the left from the exit of tunnel:
• The Sootfoot Banner of Najena: ( -159, -130, 310 Copy )
• The Sootfoot Banner of Might: ( -225, -114, 147 Copy )
• The Sootfoot Banner of Ancient Mines: ( -320, -130, 453 Copy )
• The Sootfoot Banner of Krombral: ( -345, -130, 340 Copy )
• The Sootfoot Banner of War: ( -556, -118, 470 Copy ) (on the south side of Blisterzonk's hut)
• The Sootfoot Banner of Nagafen: ( -422, -114, 305 Copy )
• The Sootfoot Banner of Flame: ( -727, -113, 337 Copy )
• The Sootfoot Banner of Marnek: ( -737, -111, 443 Copy )
3. You then find out you are required to know the Druzaic language to continue. Druzaic can be learned by doing the quest, Words of Pure Magic.
4. After examining all of the banners and speaking to Fendaris, you receive a scroll written in Druzaic. Read it and it tells you a nice story about how the goblins got whooped in a fight ages ago. Pay attention when reading through it because you are going to re-trace the story. Basically you must find the five pieces to the goblin poem. They are at:
• -646.96, -79.51, 65.01 Copy - In an area called The Wounds.
• -678.11, -66.69, -159.49 Copy - Goblet of Ro. Fairly deep into the zone.
• -635, -111, 302 Copy - Goblin Ritual place where you see 2x group goblins. In the area you had to run around for the flags.
• -210, -113.51, 149.31 Copy - When you leave the cave from the beach, in Najena's Valley, you will see a large lava fall straight ahead. Go behind it.
• -193.39, -114.11, 251.69 Copy - just past Najena entrance half way up the ramp leading towards the lava fall.
5. You then must find the name of the forgotten Lavastorm Legend. You do this by speaking with Bunglegreeder. He is in a hut near The Wounds (and Asphyxia) in Lavastorm at -403.88, -98.4, 194.48 Copy . He will ask you to obtain 8 rare rocks from Lavastorm. Six are mob drops and two must be mined. They are:
• Metamorphite: Harvested from the metamorphic stone
• Flame Licked Diamond: Harvested from flame licked ore
• Molten Fragmite: Molten Fragments in Najena's Valley
• Noxious Pearl: Noxious Emissions in The Wounds
• Basalt Turquizite: Basalt Rumblers in The Wounds
• Globule Rose: Flaming Globules in The Wounds
• Dormizite Shard: Dormant Basalt Rumblers ( -450, -20, -361 Copy ) around the edges of the Lava Field
• Bouldering Heart: Bouldering Guards of named golem at the Lavastorm Spires (old Nexus spire to east of Solusek Ro - approx ( -554, -35, -511 Copy )) and any "A bouldering" golems ( -606, -45, -568 ) Copy . If you kill the bouldering guards but leave Tyrock Cleaver up (run or evac), the guards will respawn again in a minute or so.
6. Return to Bunglegreeder and get a quest update, to search for info of King Tranix.
7. Head to the Temple of Solusek Ro and take all rights, this will lead to a library where you need to speak to Tomekeeper Sunto ( -437, -60, -683 Copy ). He will tell you to seek out the Dead Knights bones that were sent out across the Shattered Lands (you have seen them; when examined it speaks of Flames and Swords on a medallion I believe). There are 10 of them.
• Usalin - Lavastorm ( -282, -6, -435 Copy ) In Solusek Valley, exit out of the back door to Temple of Solusek Ro and follow the valley wall to the left.
• Liantis - Lavastorm ( -551, -92, 16 Copy ) In The Wounds, in a spider crevasse.
• Hogosh - Nektulos Forest ( -1374, 28, -698 Copy ) In the back part of the Bear Caves
• Desdarn - Commonlands ( 249, -47, 252 Copy ) In the graveyard east of Valmarr across the bridge, then take the spires to Antonica
• Narisin - Antonica ( -2051, -37, -564 Copy ) In a cave near Windstalker Village, cave enterance is in the lake
• Weldin - Thundering Steppes ( 853, -32, 1064 Copy ) Enter the western Mine and folow the left hand wall around till you see Welden on the ground.
• Karysin - Zek ( -192, -25, -553 Copy ) Karysin in on The Bridge of Zek about half way down on the left hand side, the only set of bones on the left as you walk to the Citadel
• Mortanis - Everfrost ( 25, 28, -478 Copy ) Under a rock in the NE part of Jagged Plains
• Edgarin - Feerrott ( -1933, -22, 555 Copy ) Near the cave to the Portal of Fear, east of Cazic Thule
• Jartellin - The Enchanted Lands ( -398, 0, -624 Copy ) Inside the lamia cave near The Pond (entrance at -337, 4, -628 Copy )
8. Return to Lavaatorm.
9. Return the bones to the Censor of Souls ( -324, -44, -711 Copy ). You passed it heading to Solusek's Eye through Temple of Solusek Ro past Tazga. This looks like a smoking cauldron sitting in the middle of a table. Head back to the ghostly npc in the library and he tells you to examine the book about King Tranix. It is in the library you are in at the moment.
10. Next head to Solusek's Eye, down to the Giants of Thyr the first room you see them in go to the left side and there is the chest at 99.93, -356.77, 189.26 Copy . You must speak Krombral to get this update. While you are there step onto the shinning cog on the ground near the chest to get the one way portal from the cog near the Gnome camp near the Lava Zone.
11. It has you gather four circlets from various names in Solusek's Eye:
• The Speaker of Fates- Same room as the Chest, on sublevel 5.
• The Castigator - -292.19, -369.71, -89.64 Copy , also on sublevel 5.
• Lord Crana - Glass Room deep in Thyr area ( -287, -516, 123 Copy ), on sublevel 6.
• Onyxlam - Titans area ( -31, -34, -135 Copy ), which is on the first level.
12. After killing all four you can go back to the Speaker's room and open the chest for reward.
