Dragonblight (Alliance Quest Guide)  

Dragonblight is one of the two "secondary zones" for Northrend. This zone contains a wide variety of questing hubs and an instance hub known as Azjol-Nerub and several raid instance of which one is Naxxramas and the other is The Obsidian Sanctum.

Dragonblight will be the secondary stop for most people during their leveling expedition, you also have the choice of moving on to Grizzly Hills

Wintergarde Keep

• Head to Wintergarde Keep on the east end of the zone.
• Don't forget to pick up the Flightpath!
• Pick up any quests you can find in town.
• If you haven't head back to Westguard Keep in Howling Fjord and get the chain Of Traitors and Treason going.
• You should have the following quests: A Disturbance In The West, Naxxramas and the Fall of Wintergarde, and My Old Enemy.
• Head back to the flight master and turn in Naxxramas and the Fall of Wintergarde pick up the follow up and turn in A Disturbance In The West and pick up the quest To Stars' Rest!, you will be flown a mach speed all the way to Star's Rest.
• Turn in the quest but don't pick up the follow up yet, hop onto the gryphon and head back to Wintergarde Keep.
• Time for some fast flying action, use your Wintergarde Gryphon Whistle.
• Fly down to the carrion fields and pick up a helpless villager and fly them back and drop them off next to the flight master.
• Do not fly out of the area on the mount! You will be automatically dismounted and thrown to the ground!
• Head back, dismount and turn the quest in.
• Pick up the follow up Return to the High Commander. Turn it in.
• Go around and pick up the quests that should have become available: Imprints on the Past, Rescue from Town Square, The Demo-gnome, The Fate of the Dead.
• There are some group quests in the Inn, since I'm mostly writing this as a solo guide those won't be covered.
• Head over to Siege Engineer Quarterflash and turn in The Demo-gnome and pick up the follow up The Search for Slinkin.
• Also pick up In Our Mine, Bleeding Ore.
• Head down into the village and enter the building @ 78, 51 and go upstairs and get the Scrying Orb.
• Head into the mines @ 80, 46.
• Kill miners and mine the ore (Yes even non-miners can do these!).
• Make your way to the back of the mine and turn in The Search for Slinkin and get Nothing to Chance.
• Turn around and take a right, grab the bombs.
• Head to the entrance and bomb the upper and lower mine shaft entrances.
• Remember where you got the Scrying Orb? Go back there and start killing giests, free some villagers and complete the two quests.
• Head back up to the Keep and turn all the quests in and grab follow ups: Durkon!, Trueheart and the Forgotten Shore, and the Scourge War Machine.
• Turn in the Scourge War Machine to High Commander Halford Wyrmbane.
• Head to 79, 53 and turn in Find Durkon!, pick up the follow up The Noble's Crypt.
• Head down into the crypt and kill Amarion
• Grab the book off the ground and rush to the top of the crypt and turn both quests in. Pick up Mystery of the Tome.
• Head back into the keep and turn in Mystery of the Tome. Pick up the follow up Understanding the Language of Death.
• Head into the Keep and into the jail and turn that quest in. Pick up A Righteous Sermon.
• Stand around for awhile and wait for the quest to complete.
• Head outside and turn that quest in, get Into Hostile Territory.
• Head to the flight master and hop onto one of the white gryphons and get ready for a bumpy ride!
• You'll parachute down to Thorson's Post. Turn in the quest and pickup the follow up Steamtank Surprise.
• Hop into a Steamtank and go destroy some plague wagons and then goto the mausoleum and drop all of them off.
• Head inside and turn the quest in, and pickup the follow up Scattered To The Wind.
• Also grab Breaking Off A Piece.
• Head down further and go to the left and right and kill the Necrolords.
• Now kill scourge down here until you hit 15 dead.
• Head outside and find the munitions on the ground once you have enough head back in and turn them both in.
• Pick up the follow up The Chain Gun And You.
• Head over to a chain gun on either side and hop in, call for an injured soldier and clear a patch for him. Do this 8 times.
• Turn it in.
• Pick up the follow up Plunderbeard Must Be Found!.
• Head down deep into the mausoleum and hang a right at the end into the tunnel and turn in the quest.
• Get the follow up Plunderbeard's Journal.
• Head through the tunnel and onto the other end.
• Kill the mobs for the rest of the pages of the journal.
• Head back to Ambo and turn the quest in.
• Get Chasing Icestorm: The 7th Legion Front as the follow up.
• Head to the 7th Legion Front @ 64, 28. Turn in the quest.
• Pick up the follow up Chasing Icestorm: Thel'zan's Phylactery.
• Head over to "Wyrmbait" and ask him bring the wyrm down, wait until it is chained and dps on it. The rest of the legion members nearby will help kill it. Very easy.
• Grab the Thel'zan's Phylactery
• Walk over to Daune and pick up Pest Control.
• Let's head back to Wintergarde Keep and turn in Chasing Icestorm: Thel'zan's Phylactery.
• Get the follow up Finality.
• Head over 82, 51 and head inside the hole in the ground and turn in the quest.
• Grab the follow up An End And A Beginning, watch the scripted event and stand back when combat begins but hit the lich at least once to make sure you get kill credit.
• Go back into Wintergarde Keep and turn in the quest.
• Grab the follow up To Fordragon Hold!.
• Time to head to Dawn's Reach, located at 87, 57.
• Turn in Orik Trueheart and the Forgotten Shore.
• Pick up The Murkweed Elixir and The Call Of The Crusade.
• Head down to 90, 66 and pick murkweeds off the ground.
• Head back and turn the quest in.
• Pick up the follow up The Forgotten Tale.
• Head south to the forgotten shore.
• Use your Murkweed Elixir] to enter the spirit world.
• Speak with the spirits to complete the quest.
• Head back and turn the quest in.
• Get the follow up The Truth Shall Set Us Free
• Head to 87, 66 and use the orb. Watch the scripted event to complete the quest.
• Head back and turn the quest in.
• Get the follow up Parting Thoughts.
• Head back to Wintergarde Keep and turn it in.
• Pick up the follow up and any quests you can find in the keep. (Except the group quests in the inn.)
• You should have: What Secrets Men Hide, The Return of the Crusade?, and The Path of Redemption.
• Head north east torwards 86, 39 and start slaughtering Scarlet Onslaught members for The Path of Redemption and the quest.
• Make your way torwards 87.5, 38 and get the Onslaught map.
• Make your way back to Wintergarde Keep and turn the quests in.
• Pick up the follow up Frostmourne Cavern.
• Head to Frostmourne Cavern at 75, 25 and go inside and use the orb.
• Head back to the keep and turn it in.
• Head to Light's Trust @ 84, 27.
• Turn in the quest you have for them and pick up the follow up The Cleansing Of Jintha'kalar.
• Go northeast and cleanse Jintha'kalar of some scourge scum!
• Turn the quest back in at Light's Trust.
• Pick up the quest Into the Breach!
• We are now done with the Wintergarde Keep area.

Wyrmrest Temple

• Head to Wyrmrest Temple in the middle of the zone.
• Don't forget the flightpath!
• Speak with Tariolstrasz on the west side of the temple and fly to the top floor.
• Pick up all the quests, Seeds of the Lashers, The Obsidian Dragonshrine, and Mystery of the Infinite.
• First thing to do is go running around the wasteland here and killing snobolds and magnataurs for the quest Control].
• Head to 64, 27 and turn the quest in.
• Pick up the follow up Canyon Chase and head east torwards Frostmourne Cavern and search for Chilltusk and kill him.
• He should have dropped a horn, use it to get a quest called Disturbing Implications.
• Now head back and turn in Canyon Chase.
• Head up the mountains to loc 72, 40 and use the hourglass.
• Protect the hourglass until the end of the event.
• Head back to the Temple and fly to the top of it and turn the quests in.
• Head down to the bottom floor and go inside and turn the quest in there.
• Pick up the follow up One of a Kind.
• This is a two person group quest but some classes can solo it. Try it if you want but if you can't skip it.
• Goto 52, 60 and kill Bonesunder.
• Go back to the temple and turn it in.
• Pick up the next quest, same as the last one except the 3 mobs roam the entire zone. Feel free to skip it if you want.
• Head southeast and into the Emerald Dragonshrine.
• Pick up Cycle of Life from the Keeper walking around.
• Kill lashers for their seeds and kill skytalons for the quest.
• Turn in Cycle of Life and pick up The Plume of Alystros.
• If you can get a quick group for this one get one and kill it if not abandon the quest.
• Head back to the temple and fly to the top to turn in the quest.
• Pick up That Which Creates Can Also Destroy
• Use the seeds on the mob which which will make them no longer elite and take them out.
• Turgid the Vile at 86.0,47.5
• Overseer Deathgaze at 89.2,19.6
• The frost wyrms fly the sky north of the temple.
• Head back to the temple, fly to the top and turn the quest in.
• Goto the Obsidian Dragonshrine @ 42, 32 and head into the cave.
• Head in and turn in the quest.
• Pick up No Place to Run and No One to Save You.
• Head outside and kill until you finish that quest.
• Now go to the entrance to the dragonshrine and deploy your ward. Keep protecting it until it is fully charged.
• Go turn the quests in.
• Pick up The Best of Intentions
• Head back to the end of the cavern and you'll see a guy casting into the lava. When you get near there you'll complete the quest. Run back and turn it in.
• Pick up Defiling the Defilers and Culling the Damned.
• Head back the way you just came and destroy the runes and kill the mobs you need.
• Go back and turn the quests in.
• Pick up Neltharion's Flame
• Head to the resurrection chamber.
• Throw the flame into the lava and then kill Rothin.
• Go back and turn in the quest.
• Pick up Tales of Destruction
• Head back to Wyrmrest and go to the top and turn the quest in.
