Entering most zones requires Energy, not just for the initial zone-in but every zone portal within the dungeon. Only the exit back to town will be Free (as in beer).

If you step into a portal and do not have enough Energy to open it you will be asked if you would like to:

• Purchase 250 Energy with 50 ($0.49) 
• Earn Energy in a Grinding Level (Wilderness zone) by looting Energy Bars
• Win a PvP Match
• Wait for One Hour (Less than 100 Energy is restored per hour)

You can also restore 50 or 100 energy by consuming an Energy Bar (if you have any on you).

Challenge Queue

You do not have to stand on the zone-in for one dungeon while waiting in the queue. You can have up to three challenges in the Challenge Queue at one time. This includes Events such as PvE Arenas.
