Borean Tundra (Horde Quest Guide)  

Borean Tundra is one of the two "starter zones" for Northrend. It contains a wide variety of areas, including the completely separated region of Coldarra where The Nexus is located. This guide is focused on Horde questing.

The Borean Tundra will most likely be the most popular first Northrend location for Horde players, since you can get to it directly from the newly constructed Zeppelin Tower located outside of Orgrimmar. Taking the zeppelin will bring you to Warsong Hold the first quest hub in the Tundra for the Horde.

Warsong Hold

• As soon as you get off the zeppelin you will see a recruitment officer that will offer the quest Hellscream's Vigil, grab it and make your way to the bottom of the hold and turn it into Garrosh Hellscream
• Next to him there will be a quest giver that has The Defense of Warsong Hold pick it up.
• By looking at your mini map you should see another quest giver nearby head to it and you'll notice it's a cooking trainer, she should have a quest if your cooking is high enough, so pick up Northern Cooking you should eventually complete this quest while leveling.
• Now head outside to 43, 55 and turn in the quest to Overlord Razgor.
• Grab the follow up Taking Back Mightstone Quarry.
• Two more ! marks should show up on your minimap, grab the quests Patience is a Virtue that We Don't Need and Taken by the Scourge.
• You need to move down into the quarry and start collecting Warsong Munitions while questing.
• Kill Nerub'ar Victim to try to see if you can free your fellow comrades.
• Now you need to kill any combination of 15 Nerub'ar in the quarry.
• Once finished go back and turn them in and pick up the follow-ups Bury Those Cockroaches! and Cutting Off the Source.
• You should also another quest right next to the Overlord from Shadowstalker Barthus pick up Untold Truths from him.
• Now you need to go and plant explosives in the sink holes, all of which are located around Warsong Hold.
• North is located at 41,50.
• East is located at 44,56.
• West is located at 39,52.
• South is located at 41,58.
• Now that all the sink holes are gone you should run up onto the scaffolding and kill the Nerub'ar Egg Sacs.
• Head over to 40, 52 and turn in the quest to Shadowstalker Luther and get the follow-up Nerub'ar Secrets.
• Go back and turn the quests in and grab the follow-ups Message to Hellscream and Wind Master To'bor.
• Head inside the hold and turn the quest into Hellscream.
• Grab the follow-up Reinforcements Incoming... and look around the hold you should be able to get To Bor'gorok Outpost, Quickly!, Ride to Taunka'le Village and Too Close For Comfort.
• Take the Elevator to the top of Warsong Hold and Grab the Flightpath.
• Cross over to the other side of the roof and turn in the quest and pick up Magic Carpet Ride.
• Now talk to Yanni and take the carpet ride to Garrosh's Landing.
• Turn in the quest and grab the follow-up Tank Ain't Gonna Fix Itself and turn that in immediately and get Mobu's Pneumatic Tank Transjigamarig and Super Strong Metal Plates!.
• Also grab Into the Mist and Horn of the Ancient Mariner from Waltor of Pal'ea.
• Head slightly north and start collecting Super Strong Metal Plates off the ground.
• Kill the local mist lords for Tuskarr Relic x8 also kill the mistweavers until you get a Horn of the Ancient Mariner.
• Go to 32, 59 and grab the Pneumatic Tank Transjigamarig
• Go turn the quests in.
• Get the follow-up Tanks a lot... and turn it in to get The Plains of Nasam, also grab Burn in Effigy and Orabus the Helmsman.
• Jump into a tank and ride it up the path way and rescue 3 injured soldiers then proceed to slaughter the scourge in the area. You can pick up more energy from the barrels scattered around finally run up torwards the floating Lich to complete the quest.
• Now you need to go and burn down the following ships with the Tuskarr Torch
• Bor's Anvil - 30,62
• Bor's Hammer - 29,53
• Kur Drakkar - 31,49
• Serpent's Maw - 31,48
• Head to 27, 55 and use the Horn of the Ancient Mariner and kill Orabus the Helmsman
• Go back to Waltor of Pal'ea and turn the quests in and get Seek Out Karuk!
• Goto 38, 56 and turn in the quest to Shadowstalker Ickoris.
• Pick up the follow up The Warsong Farms and the quests nearby Damned Filthy Swine and Merciful Freedom.
• You need to visit the following places nearby.
• Granary: 34,56
• Torp's Farm: 36,52
• Warsong Slaughterhouse: 39,47
• Kill Unliving Swine x10
• Kill the local Necrolords for Scourge Cage Key to use to free 5 prisoners.
• Go turn in those quests and pick up Bring 'Em Back Alive and Get to Getry.
• You now have 10 minutes to use Torp's Kodo Snaffle on 5 sick kodos and bring them back to the outpost.
• Head over to 34, 46 and go to the top of the tower and turn the quest in.
• Grab Foolish Endeavors and go help Getry in this scripted quest.
• Make your way back to Warsong Hold and turn the quests you have in there.
• Pick up Nork Bloodfrenzy's Charge.
• Head outside to 44, 54 and turn in the quest and pick up the follow up Coward Delivery... Under 30 Minutes or it's Free.
• Ride to 55, 51 and fire your Warsong Flare Gun.
• Walking along the road nearby should be Scout Tungok turn the quest into him and pick up the follow up Vermin Extermination.
• Now head to 52, 52 and pick up The Wondrous Bloodspore from Bloodmage Laurith.
• Kill 5x Bloodspore Firestarters 8x Bloodspore Harvesters and 2x Bloodspore Roasters.
• Collect 10x Bloodspore Carpel
• Head back and turn them in now and grab the follow up Pollen from the Source.
• Now kill the Bloodspore Moths for Bloodspore Moth Pollen x5
• Turn that quest in and pick up the follow up Suitable Test Subject.
• Use the Pollinated Bloodspore Flower and turn the quest in.
• Grab the follow up The Invasion of Gammoth and turn it in and get Gammothra the Tormentor.
• Head to 50, 58 and enter the cave.
• If any of the elite come after you use the Pouch of Crushed Bloodspore to weaken them and continue making your way further into the cave.
• At the back you will find Gammothra the Tormentor use the pouch on him and kill him.
• Loot his head and go turn the quest back in.
• Get the follow up Trophies of Gammoth.
• Now head to 47, 75 and turn in the quest and grab Karuk's Oath.
• Head torwards the boats and kill 6x Skadir Raiders and 5x Skadir Longboatsman
• Go over to 44, 48 and free the tuskarr and pick up the quest Cruelty of the Kvaldir.
• Go turn the quests in and get the follow up Gamel the Cruel.
• At 46, 79 go into the cave and kill Gamel the Cruel.
• Turn in the quest and get A Father's Words.
• Head torwards 44, 80 and clear out all the Skadir and turn in the quest.
• Get the follow up The Trident of Naz'jan.
• Now head to 50, 91 and enter the ruins and head to 55, 88 and kill Ragnar Drakkarlund for the trident.
• Go and turn it in and get The Emissary.
• Head to and use the trident on Leviroth and kill him.
• Head back to the Tuskarr from earlier and turn the quest in.
• Ride back to Warsong Hold and turn in the quest you have for there.
• Grab the follow up Hellscream's Champion.
• Congrats you are now done with Warsong Hold!
