Druid
QuestsSpellsAbilitiesTalentsTrainersMacrosForum

Balance is the caster tree for druids. Talents in this tree focus on improving the ranged damage spells druids have at their disposal; Moonfire, Starfire, and Wrath. Insect Swarm and Force of Nature are available with talents. The key talent in the druid Balance tree is Moonkin form, avalable at level 40 after spending at least 30 talent points in the Balance tree.

Tier 1

  • Starlight Wrath (5) - Reduces the casting time of Wrath and Starfire by .1/.2/.3/.4/.5 seconds.
  • Nature's Grasp (1) - While active, any opponent striking the druid with a melee attack has a 35% chance to be affected by Entangling Roots. 1 charge, lasts 45 sec. Only usable outside. Can be cast in caster, Moonkin, and feral forms.
  • Improved Nature's Grasp (4) - (Requires 1 point in Nature's Grasp) Increases the chance for Nature's Grasp to trigger by 15/30/45/65%.

Tier 2

  • Control of Nature (3) - Gives the druid a 40/70/100% chance to avoid interruption caused by damage when casting Entangling Roots and Cyclone.
  • Focused Starlight (2) - Increases the critical strike chance of Wrath and Starfire by 2/4%.
  • Improved Moonfire (2) - Increases the damage and critical strike chance of Moonfire by 5/10%.

Tier 3

  • Brambles (3) - Increases the damage caused by Entangling Roots and Thorns by 25/50/75%.
  • Insect Swarm (1) - The enemy target is swarmed by insects, decreasing their chance to hit by 2% and causing X nature damage over 12 seconds.
  • Nature's Reach (2) - Increases the range of Balance spells and Faerie Fire (Feral) by 10/20/30%.

Tier 4

  • Vengeance (5) - Increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Wrath, Starfire, and Moonfire spell by 20/40/60/80/100%. (Note: a normal spell critical hit causes a spell to do 150% damage. This talent increases that to 160/170/180/190/200%.)
  • Celestial Focus (3) - (Requires 2 points in Focused Starlight) Gives Starfire a 5/10/15% chance to stun the target for 3 seconds and increases the chance to resist spell interruption when casting Wrath by 25/50/75%.

Tier 5

  • Lunar Guidance (3) - Increases spell damage and healing by 8/16/25% of the druid's intellect.
  • Nature's Grace (1) - All spell criticals grace you with a blessing of nature, reducing the casting time of your next spell by .5 seconds. (Does not affect the global cool-down.)
  • Moonglow (3) - Reduces the casting cost of Moonfire, Starfire, Wrath, Healing Touch, Regrowth, and Rejuvination by 3/6/9%.

Tier 6

  • Moonfury (5) - (Requires 1 point in Nature's Grace) Increases the damage done by Moonfire, Starfire, and Wrath by 2/4/6/8/10%.
  • Balance of Power (2) - Increases the chance to hit with spells by 2/4% and reduces the chance the druid will be hit by spells by 2/4%.

Tier 7

  • Dreamstate (3) - Regenerate mana equal to 4/7/10% of the druid's intellect every 5 seconds, even while casting.
  • Moonkin Form (1) - Shapeshift into Moonkin Form. Moonkin form increases the druid's armor contribution from items by 400%, increases attack power by 150% of the druid's level, and all party members (including the druid) have there spell critical hit chance increased by 5%. Melee attacks in Moonkin form have a chance on hit to regenerate mana based on attack power. Only Balance spells and Remove Curse can be cast while in moonkin form. Druids in moonkin form are immune to polymorph effects, and shifting into or out of moonkin form will break Polymorph and movement-imparing effects.
  • Improved Faerie Fire (3) - Faerie Fire also increases the chance the target will be hit with melee and ranged attacks by 1/2/3%. (Note: this talent does not increase your chance to hit with spells.)

Tier 8

  • Wrath of Cenarius (5) - Starfire spell gains an additional 4/8/12/16/20% and Wrath gains an additional 2/4/6/8/10% of the druid's bonus spell damage.
