A hume born on the cold dirty streets of Bastok, Darcc Locke was abandoned by his parents to fend for himself when he was only 6. He was found starving to death in a small destitute corner of the mine district by the kindly old Galka, Rhox. Rhox took him in and cared for him. Darcc could never commit to honest work. Ever since he was a child he would pickpocket the rich passers-by only to feed himself for another few days. He became skilled with a small blade, as he was forced to use it on occasion to defend himself. After barely surviving an encounter with a mob of angry Elvaan, Darcc learned that thieves weren't taken to kindly to. He concluded that he must improve his fighting skills, for stealth and trickery alone wouldn't always keep him alive.
