just for thanks

I have been a paying member since I discovered this site and I will continue to be a paying member for the foreseeable future.

I think alot of people take for granted the amount of time and effort that goes into creating and maintaining a site like this....not to mention money. I couldnt even begin to imagine what the monthly cost is to run this places, the bandwith alone must be a killer.

For that reason, I'm a paying member, I can't think of any better way to say "thank you" than to help contribute financially. $30/year is nothing compared to what you get out of this place.

As a wow player i don't find any good thing about premium acces to this site... i don't even get my pcgamer... and the only paying fontion **Mob Value Search* is tottally worthless
but i already paid for a year so i'll stay untill then
not good enough

I tried out the premium membership for a while. As I only play World of Warcraft I didn't find any substantial new features that I could use. No popups and stuff was nice but not good enough.

The "mob value search" was a real disappointment. Maybe if they added so you can search on median AH price and maybe do a search "median AH price vs drop%"
Love it

i'd just like to say, to psxanarchist, that just because YOU want it there, doesn't mean its going to get changed. one person's opinion and preference does not alter an entire site which has a substantial number of hits a day. you need to reilize that in order for something such as formatting to change on a website, it has to both be something viewed as worthwhile for the webmaster/owner of the site, and something that is actually a good change for the site. if you happened to, lets say, send AOL a REALLY good idea, well, honestly what do you think the chances are of them changing it? just because it seems like a good idea to you, or you and your friends, doesn't mean it would be worthwhile for AOL, or any larger organization than yourself, to act upon those changes. a message and sugestion board is just that, a place for sugestions, and the fact that because what YOU had to say didn't get changed, should not in ANY way be a reason for you to no longer refer your friends to this site. it's a childish and spoiled way to act in an otherwise adult environment.

in other news, i love the site, the formatting is great, the wealth of information is lovely, and i love the now very high percentage of items having images linked to them. keep up the good work.

I'm glad you think one person's voice for a change will go unheard. Say nothing and fall in line. I was referring to my posts only...there are tons of other good ideas contributed by others that have not been worked into the site either. And I don't know why. My suggestions ARE worthwhile and serve a purpose (getting Silver Elites and Rare elite spawns seperated IS a smart thing - they're different). "I would like to address your general attitude of hopeless negativism. Consider the lilies of the goddamn field or... hell! Take at look at Delmar here as your paradigm of hope."

Adding content because of user input shows the growing userbase and community that we count, and change starts with one person. For every one who posts, 100 might not think it worthwhile...

Personally I loathe the new Media Box the site owners decided to code in...now I have to scroll down everytime I visit the site to see if there's an update. I'd like to see an option to remove or disable it.

well...

...the fact that the suggestion forum via the "What do you want added to the site?" page goes mainly ignored, is the reason I do not steer more friends this way. You asked users for their input and yet fail to deliver the wanted changes and additions - my suggestions we as follows:

Posted @ Sun, May 22nd 6:33 AM2005

Quote:

#1 - On the "Item Sets" page http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/itemset.html , the order of the item sets listed should be automatically displayed as A-Z alphabetical order, ...

#1a - ...and I should be able to sort the displayed order by the column titles (set name, pieces, lvl, type)...

#1b - ...and add a title for the far right column and enable display sort for it as well for "class" only/specific sets.

You DID allow the sort via headings (thanks), but the default page display is still all out of alphabetical order.

Quote:

#2 - On the "Rare Mobs" page http://wow.allakhazam.com/dyn/mobs/rare.html , I should be able to sort the displayed order by the column titles (name, type, lvl, zones)...

#2a - ...and remove the "s" at the end of "Zones", rename is "Zone", and add in a seperate line/listing to be sorted for mobs that appear in multiple zones (i.e. Death Flayer would then appear in two seperate slots on the table, and would show up under BOTH "Durotar" and "The Barrens".

#2b - Rename page title and link to "Silver Elites" since this is the info given there. (sidenote - 8 out of 10 players I encounter don't know what a Silver Elite is or why they are special).

Not yet done after 4 months...

Quote:

#3 - Along the same vein, let's add a page called "Rare Spawns". This would contain jsut that, rare spawning mobs...(i.e. Ironspine is a RARE spawning regular gold ELITE which spawns in the undead instance of the Scarlet Monestary). Adding a page like this may change the locations and time spent there on the hunt mobs for that "gotta have" loot. Please include column sorting abilities as listed in previous suggestions.

...same still not implemented.

I also not only reposted my suggestions on Fri, Jun 24th 6:32 PM2005, but I sent them via email directly to site admin.

Maybe it would help us if you added a "currently under development" page for the site to let us know what's being worked on.

Yes!

I have been a member for several years now. Allak allowed me to research and procure great items in EQ1 making my necro rather formidable. Later, our gaming community moved to SWG. Again Allak was there. Later we played L2, EQ2 and now WoW. I plan on being end game soon on WoW and this site is a great resource. Sometime in the future I suspect I will find another MMORPG and I have confidence the Allak will be there with item listing when I need them.

Support information exchange, keep the lights on here at Allak

I'd like to say that it has been a pleasure being a member of the allakhazam ring, and would also like to persuade more people to join. It really is a no-nonsense offer. You use the site, why not consider joining! I have used this site for many years now, and of all the things I pay for in this world, Alla has been entirely hassle free. It's a pleasure paying for good service, and thats what you get when come here. Good Service.
