I've been having this really weird random DCing issue where my R will suddenly plummet, then rise back up, and plummet again, over and over until it stabilizes or totally DCs. I've talked to SE and to my ISP, and I've also set up port forwarding on my router. Nothing seems to fix it. I wonder if it is related to this issue.

I haven't had any spontaeneous reboot problem running meadia player behind FF XI. I would use winamp but since I'm having to play XI on my rents system (my desktop recently died >_<) and they get ****** if I install stuff I'm forced to live with Window Media Player

I've played for a solid 6 hour session with a CD running on WMP the whole time with only minor frame rate drop between tracks.

The only windows related annoyance I have is with my antivirus if I'm playing when it decides to autoupdate 99% of the time the pop up notification will break full screen mode......its gotten me killed more than once

WMP is a huge resource hog that may be why it's rebooting cause your ram gets filled up

Yes, I'm sure the 10 megs of ram WMP uses is the cause...

Hot damn! An update that I can play in the middle of! I wonder if this will fix the fact that my computer restarts every time I try to start up FFXI while i have Windows Media Player active.
