Has anyone noticed the massive lag when you try to access your inventory after zoning to a new area? If not then look at your inventory right after you zone... it takes a loooooooong time for it to register.
RE: So after all that time updating they still screwed up?
# Jun 29 2004 at 8:53 PM Rating: Decent
Yeah, I've noticed that. Same thing happens to my linkshells. But the linkshell list takes longer then the inventory to load.
claimed target or not
# Jun 29 2004 at 12:24 PM Rating: Decent
Anyone else notice this? When our puller came back with a target, I'd notice the target goes unclaimed quickly and someone has to run out to tag it again.

I've had it happen before the update.

Although now, enemies will sometimes spawn in as claimed, not doing anything, and then unclaim like a second later.

i was in mandy-land (yhoatar jungle), with my ranger, after the patch updated. i was pretty far out, ducking gobs, when i see this mandy thats claimed by me or my pt? im like , wtf? then, he goes unclaimed.
also, the mobs have been goin unclaimed alot lately when i pull. and always right when i get back to my pt. i noticed this b4 the patch updated too. i figured i was out-running them somehow, or they were gettin stuck on obstacles. are they gonna fix this?

10 hours of maintenence....why not just live a little during that time, I was working, playing, eating, having fun in real life, not to mention, after maintenence was over, and update successfully installed, cable went out in my area, so no game all of yesterday. what ever happened to the good old days when somebody could turn off a game for a few hours and not care.

(I'm just as addicted as the rest of you)
Hell yes!
# Jun 29 2004 at 11:49 AM Rating: Decent
w00t, today the maintenance is over, but yesterday, OMFG, that was so exhausting, doing nothing, mu whole world went up side down... i was so b00red, i could have died...
Stupid maintenance,
when it's 19:00 here, they start the freeking maintenance... the fools...
bullshit
# Jun 29 2004 at 9:21 AM Rating: Default
i sat through 8 hours of ****** up world maintanence. i log in, FINALY get to xarcarb or however you spell it for my AF1 (blm) with a 75 blm and 69 drk and what happens? more god damn maintenance. "please log immediately" why the HELL do they need to take FFXI offline for over 10 hours? maintenance usualy is around 1 - 2 hours. wtf why do every server, all at once and then take FFXI down again for more **** that they could'nt be bothered adding while they had the game down?

I believe it was to iron out the kinks they might have had from the original update. I know, it's harsh... I was about to die waiting... but it finally went through and today we can start looking for that mannequin quest. =)

Remember children, if there's anyone to blame, it's Enix... Never blame Square. =)

I really hope this delay doesnt affect my 3 plants i have growing.. I will sue if they die...lmao

Yes, updates are to be expected and are, in fact, welcome.

However, the fact that they consistently run 10 hour long maintenance during North American peak times instead of finding a good balance between Japanese and North American times is just further proof that this game favors the Japanese over Americans, and doesn't see us as equals.

Take notice that its
From Jun. 28, 2004 10:00 to Jun. 28, 2004 18:00 (PDT)
thats working hours on the west coast. I highly doubt the Square would Favor Japanese or Americans more or less. We just happened to be where the Servers are.

I could have sworn that all the servers were in Japan. Not only that, but it's probably better that they take the servers down during peak hours for NA. Last I checked there are more people playing in Japan than there are here. It would be better to tick off less people, wouldn't it?

So far as I can gather the mannequins are so you can see what your equipement looks like regardless of job or level requirements. I think this is useful for armor you can't equip yet. I'm presently trying to find information on the quest to attain the model. I hope it isn't going to be hard!!

Update!!! - According to my findings and research you need to the goldsmithing uild in Mhaura and talk to Fyi Chalmwoh. SHe's a mithra with sunglasses. She'll send you all over the place looking for pieces of mannequins, like the selbina clay quest.

I was around user 350 to join Fenrir. The reason some of you can't login is because of an unintentional DOS attack. Too many people are trying to login at once, denying service to others. You'll get on, Just wait a bit.

This is not worth 12.50$
# Jun 28 2004 at 10:36 PM Rating: Default
I say this is crap! XD haha So anyone have a clue whats going on... Seems they screwed the server over... but thats not for sure... This is pretty stupid...I got home from work...what 7 hours ago to level my DRG and they have to go ***** it up for everyone that wastes 13$ a month on this...I say if its off tomorrow we should get somthing... even a 2X Exp or somthing would be awesome..
RE: This is not worth 12.50$
# Jun 29 2004 at 1:32 AM Rating: Good
Oh please. Updates are to be expected, and if you don't like it, then don't play. Even though it's back on now, you can survive one day without playing. If you have something to do one day, and are too occupied and can't play this game, do you consider that a "waste" of your 12.50 after having played the entire week?

In short, get over it. You're not going to always have the time to play something, so if you're going to be stingey about where you place your money, don't place it there in the first place.
