Can't wait for the Eternal Crusade! I'm in Warhammer hobby for 12 years now. Finished my Tau, Orks and Space Marines armies. Now I'm thinking about starting something small with Dark Eldar. I don't have any guild yet but I've got few friends that want to lay their hands on EC. Maybe we'll form an Ork clan? Yeah, I'm really looking forward to Ork gameplay with all the lootin' and choppin' and shootin' and generally - WAAAAGH!

(I'm from Ukraine so sorry for my english) I'm a big fan of Warhammer I have a lot of games and books, so I'm looking forward to eternal crusade! I already know of at least 4 of my friends waiting for this amazing game. (I will definitely play for chaos). I expect most of the Warhammer atmosphere of grandeur, gloom and cruelty ... but it is also a kind of beauty and naturally want to have fun with friends and other players.

I'm a huge fan of the 40k Universe. I've read novels and enjoy looking up stories online. I played the fantasy MMO WAR for several years despite its drawbacks. I'm thrilled with the style and can't wait to give Eternal Crusade a try!

The only hard part is deciding if I want to play mostly as a Blood Angel or an Ork!
Blessings from the Omnissiah!

Hello again from Ukraine, another fan of Warhammer here, I am a modeller from my younger ages, and ever since i got aquainted with warhammer i've being waiting for a game that will fill a gap in this amazing universe! Well im not particulary rich nor famous, but i love my art! I lowe warhammer and i only started my army of Iron Hand's chapter Raukaan, and started reading the novels "Horus Hersy", (the only one in my city though) Still I hope in the future to meet other people who are as eager as i am in this country or another! Of the game i expect dynamic and majesty, yet allready i can feel the inspiration behind it, not just a simple wish to make money but a real spirit of the mashine...uh...i mean, the spirit that united all this wonderfull people behind one great idea - to make the world of Warhammer alive! I've played Eldar in the tabletop game for a decade, and played some of the older 40k games like Space Hulk and Chaos Gate long before that. I haven't had a chance to play an actual action game from the Eldar perspective since interest in the Half-Life: Rival Species mod died out. Very excited to take the battle to the enemy in the name of the craftworld. :)

Tell us why you're excited for Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade!
Tell Me Why Im not excited with release of this game...? I love Warhammer 40K : Space Marine. So I think I will love this game too....
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Have you been a tabletop 40K fan for years?

Yeah of course, I began to love W40K series starting since Dawn Of War has been released. Warhammer 40K Dawn Of War and Dawn Of War 2 is revolutionary Strategy games. There is never been strategy game which is not hard to play like Dawn Of War. You guys cant imagine how Happy I am when that games released. Looking when Bloodthirster using 1 troops for Tennis Ball is the coolest thing I've ever seen on W40K Universe. And I am still playing it until now. And 2011 there is W40K Space marine. That game is cool I can use some of the gun and Sword from W40K Universe. and slaying that Annoying ork and chaos in that game.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Do you already have friends, or a full guild, excited to play?

Yeah

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Any specific lore you're looking forward to?

Make new Open World version of W40K Space Marine. I hope My wish will come true :D

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

What are you looking forward to most? Let us know!

Hmm Maybe using Eldar race. Using Psyonic abillites on Eldar is cool.

There is no peace amongst the stars.

Because ruthlessness is the kindness of the wise, and none embody wisdom like the Eldar.
...
As I see it the value of the Warhammer 40,000 setting is in going to a place of stark darkness. To a place wherein history's most essential, most difficult virtues are realized as terrible mistakes. To step into the blood-soaked boots of someone almost utterly unlike ourselves.

Like terrible and ignorant zealots of a cruel and brutish god who kill and die in lockstep for a viciously demanding empire that promulgates a hilariously transparent lie. All the while feeding the powers that most embody the sources of their suffering.

Or cold and calculating scions of an ancient and capricious empire who struggle to deny empathy with their victims with as much effort as they expend controlling their most base drives in a futile struggle against damnation.

Or jostling, wrestling, biting and scratching and hooting and hollering savages who're more like a kind of omnipresent disease then a sapient species, and to whom peace may be literally fatal.

Or even my personal favorite -the Chaos Space Marines. This idea that one entity decided the ultimate solution to guiding the human race through eternity was to create a corps of sterile and sexless murderers who're not merely everything he believed embodied Mankind's potential as killers but who were also self-replicating -and of whom fully half spit on their oaths of loyalty, and these are beings to whom loyalty and honor are truly the only things that have value, to flee to the shores of hell to wage an unceasing horrifying war against innocents in the name of deranged, delusional, arcane definitions of crimes they themselves commit over and over.

As an anti-war metaphor the CSM are pretty damn good. They're the hounds of war, slipped from their traces, utterly beyond their maker's control and by design stripped of the humanity and conscience required to turn back from their paths of damnation.

The God-Emperor wanted soldiers who could fight anywhere, against anything, and kill him or her or it over and over again ...and who never gave a second thought to what might happen if they strayed from the ways of righteous extermination. And he got them.

Weep with me, children of the grim future.

That's dark.
That's what I want. To walk a hundred kilometers in blood up to my pauldrons. To fight endless wars of no consequence over nothing. To hear the laughter of the Thirsting Gods as their champions struggle to strip the last of their souls of the shreds of their humanity in the hopes of being elevated to a creature of pointless, blind slaughter as the apotheosis of their stunted, ruined lives.
To sit in the back of the Wave Serpent, checking and rechecking my weapons, mind pounding with the hateful roars of Khaine, knowing that even victory will be hollow as we sing dirges for the lost. Those for whom the best outcome is to forever wander the grey blankness of the Infinity Circuit until some chemically maimed child tortured by surgery and lies tears it open in his eager hunger for one more act of worshipful violation and hurls us all into an eternity of agony and terror at the hands She Who Thirsts.
To know that and to feel hatred in every screaming atom of my being because for every other crime and atrocity and waste you commit Mon'Keigh it is this above all for which hate you for: you only die once, but we Eldar die forever.

That is what I want.
To go to that place.
And to be grateful to leave afterwards.
Thank you.
Everything according to plan, I hope.

I've become impressed by your promises and schemes. You came to remind me of games I've played before that were very interesting and still kept my attention even after quite some time.

I'm looking foward to how you will handle the vast lore, especially deities and such. I hope that magical units will not be overlooked and that your promises come to create a game that makes justice to it's rich universe. Do everything just as planned, and lot's of fans will repay the favor.
Counting on you guys. Godspeed.

For the Emperor! I was so disappointed when the Dark Millennium project got cancelled, at last all true and loyal subjects of the Emperor have reason to rejoice with the news of the Eternal Crusade!
I got my start with the Dawn of War series, which led me to reading a ton of Black Library books. I never did the tabletop games but loved looking at the pieces and often think about picking some up just to display.
There simply aren't very many games out there I care for at all and will be happy when this game releases. I'm a PC only guy which limits gaming choices even further sometimes.
While I want to try all factions I think Chaos or maybe the Eldar will probably be my focus.
I'm unemployed so obviously I hope to win big but will be grateful if I win anything since funds are not flowing... even though most of my days I'm sending out resumes and searching out opportunities I still end up with a lot of free time on my hands and I think unwinding in Eternal Crusade will be just the pick me up I need.
Thank you for this opportunity!!

I first encountered the Warhammer 40k universe when the game Fire Warrior emerged. I know that it wasn't a great game but I beat it in about a week. I was fascinated from that moment of the scale and all different types of races in the warhammer 40k universe.
Then later appeared the first dawn of war game. It blew me away totally. I played all the warhammer games sincethen and i can for sure tell you one thing:

THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!
Hype!?

I recently started to enjoy the world of Warhammer. The lore and the game is just aweome, a really big leap from other rpg's I played. Can't say I'm expecting something special, I am really sure that the devs will surprise us and make us love the game even more.
The fact that the game is dif and special in many ways compared to other "genre" games, I can't even find actual words to describe what I would like to see, but then again, we shall wait and see!

Have a good week WH fans!

I am not a tabletop game player, my first contact whith Warhammer 40k was with the "Dawn of War" game since then I have also played the 40k role playing game "Dark Heresy".
And I am looking forward to play with my role player friend on a Warhammer 40k mmorpg.
The more lore there are the better it is ; )
I am looking forward to see all the good thing the Behaviour team has done and will do for the fan and moreover to have a true mmorpg where all player action count.

Huge fan of the various table top games over the years and more particularly the PC games over the last decade. The lore/universe is unique and interesting and I am really excited to see how this is implemented in an MMO setting, with all of the various factions to unfold over time.
Excited.

I'm incredibly excited because it's one thing to command an army on a table, but to be a member of that army, killing xenos and heretics (or loyalists, the corpse worshiping fools...). I loved space marine, and i love the idea of strategic territory capturing in an open world even more :p

I am very excited for Eternal Crusade, I have been a table top player since 2004 and have always been loyal to the Eldar. I have a lot of friends that are excited for this game and are planning squads and guilds in advance. I am curious to see how the races will interact with such a omnipresent threat such as chaos and the orcs on the the planet. I am looking forward to killing my friends as we represent our individual table top armies :)
Praise be to the Emperor!

I have devoted my live to the Emperor since I first saw some soldiers in bulky armor combating aliens in some tight corridors depicted by jigsaw tiles on a table. That was in 1989. I was barely 10.

For more than 25 years, I have followed the W40K (and WF too) lores and their progress and evolution in gameplay, rules and miniatures. I devoured every codex of every army available. I still have rule books from the era of Rogue Trader, acquired from people who has left the hobby and still in good condition. I know every bit of the game like the back of my hand.

Yes, I know everything and am a devoted fan and worshiper to the God-Emperor.

Yet despite all this, I am yet to own a single miniature of my own, what more play a single game of W40k table top game in my life.

I am not here to wallow or seek pity. It is true, and I think many can relate, it is a expensive hobby and not many can afford it. I was one of that many who could only afford to experience the game from watching the joy and excitement and the rolling of dice made by other players. On the weekends I would visit the hobby stores and I would play the game "in my head" by watching others from the sides. I still do that now.

So am I excited?

This is the closest thing I can experience a game of true W40K fashion and while so many others before have failed, this one has so much potential I am beseeching the Emperor to make this game a great one. For me and for the many others who could never have the chance, out of all the different difficult circumstances each one faced, to truly enjoy a game of Warhammer 40,000.

Please make this game good, I am really, really looking forward to this. Praise be to the Emperor.

Space Marines, Chaos, Eldar and Orks.
When the extremes met their match in one big free-for-all in space.
