Red Bull shows the true intensity of eSports in the 7th episode of "This is eSports".
For the past few years Red Bull has been a huge proponent of eSports, particularly Blizzard Entertainment's award winning real time strategy game StarCraft 2. On November 23rd and 24th, eight of the best professional gamers, including the reigning StarCraft 2 World Champion Bomber, will duke it out for a $50,000 prize pool.
In preparation for the upcoming battle, Red Bull has released the seventh episode of their "This Is eSports" series. In episode 7, Dave Walsh recaps the intense Training Grounds held in late July of this year. Episode 7 is a reminder why the Red Bull Battlegrounds events receive so much acclaim from the eSports community: fantastic production, top tier casters and fan favourite players make the Battlegrounds events some of the most intense and exciting in eSports.
The Red Bull team respects the competitive nature of StarCraft 2, and instead of inviting big name players for publicity, Red Bull are letting skill decide in online and live qualifiers. In an online bracket, aspiring players will battle for success, and the winner of each North American bracket will receive an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles where the qualifying process will conclude.
