The players of Final Fantasy XIV can join Lightning in a new collaborative FATE.

Earlier today Square Enix released information and a video covering a new FATE (Full Time Active Event) in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn which features the character Lightning from the Final Fantasy XIII series. In this cross-promotion FATE players can fight alongside Lightning and earn the chance to receive gear and weapons modeled after Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, seen in the video below.

Also part of this cross-title collaboration, new Miqo’te costume screenshots were released for Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. Clues for acquiring this costume are hidden within the world of Nova Chrysalia. Players will also be able to acquire weapons and shield themed from the city states (Limsa Lominsa, Ul’dah, Gridania) of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn by clearing side quests.
