World of Warcraft: Blizzard Continues to Excite

Patch 5.3 Goodness

The patches for World of Warcraft sure are coming thick and fast now with 5.3 currently being tested on the PTR. Judging by the latest patch notes, Blizzard seems determined to be the exception to the rule: quality > quantity.

Having discussed last time the wonderful news that loot specialization will be coming to the LFR, questing and bonus rolls, the excitement continues to build as Blizzard announces that class roles will be added to Battlegrounds, meaning you will have to select your role before queuing. No more losing BGs just because the opposing team has more healers than you!

Transmog your gear without withdrawing it from void storage!

Allow to me excite you further with news that in patch 5.3, players will be able to transmogrify their gear with items in the void storage, without having to withdraw them first! Yes, that’s right; that expensive solution to our hoarding needs just got a million times better.

Blizzard, I take my hat (or helm) off to you. What’s next, a larger replacement for the immovable 16 slot bag all players start with?

Penny for your thoughts,

Qelric

I don't know if I like the idea of picking a role in BG's. I fear this will increase the queue times. Right now can get into a random BG within about a minute no matter what spec a person is. I don't want to see 20 minute BG queues for DPS. I hope this isn't a side effect of this upcoming change.

Yeah they've done nothing but adapted and improved the entire time the game has existed.
Which is why no game has taken its place and probably never will.

The others are good tho. I love SWTOR and Rift has beautiful graphics, Guild Wars 2 also.

....except graphics don't always make the game.

They've improved graphics in WoW a little now-and-then, but for the most part, it is still much like it was way back in the day, and it still continues to be the "best" MMO out there, despite how long its been around.

All of the improvements to gameplay goes to show that we gamers really want gameplay above all else. Afterall, that is the reason why games like Minecraft, Terraria, etc have millions of players, but yet they have 16-bit graphics, right?
