WildStar Shines at PAX East 2013

Carbine shows off Player Housing and so much more at PAX East

New Zones: The Crimson Isle and the Halon Ring

Speaking of a taste of things to come, there are two new zones to talk about as well.

First off is the Crimson Isle. At first glance this zone appears as though it could be a high level zone, where powerful characters engage enemies in battles of epic proportion, amidst a landscape of colossal and mysterious Eldan tech. But don't let that fool you. It's actually a starter zone for new Draken players.

But perhaps that's a great illustration of the fact that the folks at Carbine are committed to giving their players an epic experience from the moment they set foot on Nexus. No killing 10 rats for a shiny copper piece here folks.

The next new zone is technically not on Nexus at all, but rather in orbit around it. At one point in time this network of satellites and debris fields served to keep trespassers from landing on Nexus, but now it provides higher level characters a chance to explore and unlock the secrets of the challenging landscape, complete with its low-gravity environment.

That's right, just when you thought you had the hang of WildStar's action based combat, you find yourself having to adjust to the additional time it takes to jump and dodge your opponent’s attacks.  Oh, and do watch out for undead crew members and greedy pirates if you happen to swing by the local starship graveyard.

All of this is really just scratching the surface, so be sure to stay tuned to ZAM.com for all the latest and greatest news about WildStar, one of the most anticipated MMOs on our radar at the moment.
