Details on PAX plans and more on mounts

Perfect World Entertainment Inc. has announced that its highly anticipated MMORPG release, Neverwinter, will make a major appearance at PAX East this year in Boston, Massachusetts, from March 22 to March 24. If that's not enough to get you excited, then prepare yourself for more... ARMORED SPIDER MOUNTS! 

By now you have likely discovered that here at ZAM we are pretty darned excited about the prospect of riding around on giant armored spiders, but let's not flog a dead horse (errr... spider). Let's talk instead about PAX East.

If you are one of the lucky horde of people that have tickets to the sold-out convention you can find Neverwinter at booth 624 on the show floor. As a reward for finishing the playable demo you'll be able to walk away with some fantastic prizes including limited edition t-shirts and bags, gaming hardware, redeemable codes for permanent in-game items, as well as potion, and balms.

Not only that, New York Times best-selling author R.A. Salvatore will be in attendance, promoting his latest Forgotten Realms® novel, 'The Last Threshold', Book IV of the Neverwinter Saga. On March 22 and 23 he will be available at the Neverwinter booth for book signings from 3-4pm EST.

Also in attendance will be Lead Producer for Neverwinter, Andy Velasquez, who will be speaking alongside some of the industry's top developers. Don't miss their panel on 'the Future of Online Games' on March 22 at 5:30pm EST.

If you're going to be at PAX East be sure to stop by the Neverwinter booth to check out one of the most anticipated games of 2013. Andrew Brown, General Manager of Perfect World Entertainment, promises a "bigger booth" and "more gameplay" than last year's amazing event. So just how much more gameplay you ask?

Well we're glad you asked. At the PAX East Neverwinter booth gamers can play though the demo on one of 18 stations, experiencing firsthand the epic adventures and latest pre-launch updates, straight from the game's exclusive Beta Weekends. For the first time ever, fans will be able take control of the mighty Great Weapon Fighter class as well as witness all five classes in action.

If you don't have tickets to PAX East never fear, you don't need to miss out on all the exciting Neverwinter action. Neverwinter's Beta Weekend 3 will be running concurrently during PAX East (March22-24), beginning at 12pm PST. Players can freely register on the official Neverwinter website. For guaranteed access to every Neverwinter Beta Weekend, along with a host of VIP perks and exclusive in-game items, be sure to check out one of two Neverwinter Founder's Packs.

If you're having trouble deciding which founder's pack is right for you, that's understandable. Both the 'Guardian of Neverwinter' and 'Hero of the North' founders packs include VIP access and a host of unique in-game items. But take a look at the screenshot above, which features the exclusive mounts available from each of the Founder's packs. What it really comes down to is Spider vs. Horse.
