Blizzard announces launch date for next StarCraft installment

It's official: StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm has a release date. Blizzard's long-awaited follow-up the the previously longer-awaited StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty will be unleashed this coming spring, specifically on March 12, 2013.

But you don't have to wait until then to take action.

Along with the launch announcement, Blizzard has also opened up presales of the game, allowing players to make sure they are locked-and-loaded well before the March deadline! Pre-purchase options include the standard edition, digital deluxe edition and of course the must-have for any true StarCraft fan, the Collector's edition.
