EQII & EQ Double Experience Weekends

EQII gets double experience this weekend, EQ next weekend.

Back in May SOE launched a Facebook Quest. With true Norrathian spirit, players rallied behind their games and vigorously promoted the EverQuest and EverQuest II Facebook pages. The end game was supposed to be game vs game for the most Facebook followers but SOE has decided that both games will be rewarded with a Double Experience Weekend!

EverQuest II gets the first bonus weekend: the Double Experience Weekend will be from 12:00pm (noon) Pacific on Friday, October 26th through 11:59pm (midnight) Pacific on Sunday, October 28th.

EverQuest will have their weekend next, from 12:00pm (noon) Pacific on Friday, November 2nd through 11:59pm (midnight) Pacific on Sunday, November 4th.

See you in Norrath!

Have not seen anything on SoE's forums regarding 2X exp on this weekend starting Friday or anything regarding 3X SC on their site? Is their marketing team on an 8hour coffee break or do they even have a marketing team?

Oh great, double xp on the weekends when I work and can't play. Yeah me! Not everyone has weekends off and can play.
. Maybe give xp potions instead would allow EVERYONE and chance to get bonus xp when they can.

They schedule them for the weekends so the most people can benefit. Weekends = peak time. It sucks you have to work weekends, i did it for years but usually after about the third week people grow up and realize they will miss some things. There will always be those that instead of facing reality expect the world to bend for them though...

This will be the first time in the last 5 or 6 double xp weekends that my work schedule actually is going to allow me to take advantage of the 2x xp!

So Sorry, didn't know comments were restricted to jerks like you. i own a restaurant and work dam hard all week and dont need some needlehead like you telling me i am whinning. I play one night a week and i am entitled to have the bonus as everyone else. sorry if my alternative lifestyle doesn't agree with you. also, my opinion and comment is just as valid as any crap you have to say.
By the way moron, the choice of cheese depends on which whine your serving.

Or maybe you are just angling for some super XP pots to level to 100 with when the xpac comes out...

Nice try.

With 10k aa's + to max a character it should be double xp or more hot zones all the time. I would love to start a new character but the time it would take to be useful is just not in my schedule. Kids and wife have made this a tad more complex.

Sorry, but are the Double Exp weekends ending at 11:59 pm (one minute until midnight) or 11:59 am (one minute until noon)? I am assuming 11:59am, but just making sure.

It ends one minute before midnight according to the article on everquest2.com, so I updated the article. Calthine must've needed some more coffee when she wrote that. ;) Sorry for the confusion!

Calthine copied it right off the everquest2.com article, so they must have updated theirs :)

This would never be a problem if we just used 24 hour time instead of 2 12 hour times =)

Really? Then you would also have to include Zulu time with that so everyone in the world can add or subtract from that zone...

So.. is midnight 2400 or 0000? I already know the answer.. just said it to make you think : )
