WoW - 10/25 Man Raids Might Not Share Lockouts

Dare I hope? Dare I dream?

Dare I dream? Ever since Wrath of the Lich King era was closed and 10/25-man raids shared lockouts, I hoped they'd undo this very annoying feature. Well, due to some attentive spotting, the Korean servers for World of Warcraft will be removing this feature in 5.1. But is it coming to our servers here in the US? Ashelia's report says their recent Reddit AMA mentioned wanting to give a boost to 25-man raids. This just might be their solution.

But arguably, 10 man can be significantly more difficult. I remember healing in 10 mans was WAY tougher than 25 mans. In 25 mans you could take turns replenishing mana and just, well, not healing. In 10 mans that was never a possibility.

So, I don't like the idea of different ilvls between the two. I just don't think it's warranted and is a penalty to those who may actually be having to work individually harder.

I understand a larger percentage of loot and support that.

I also would love to see an end to the dual lockout. It was nice doing 10 mans with my guild and pugging a 25 man by myself.

People complain that they feel forced to do dailies so they can buy the revered gear if they are unlucky with drops. They then turn around and praise having 10 and 25 man have different lockouts. Smiley: confused

Not only that but people are excited that 25 man will be getting better iLevel loot. I am still on the side where if 25 mans need the gear incentive to stay alive, maybe they should die off.

Some people like raiding more then a couple days a week. Granted there is a ton of stuff to do in MOP right now, but people will reach that point where they have all the reps and get sick of pet battles and will want something more to do.

And of course the higher ilvl in 25 man makes sense since 25 mans do take slightly more effort and planning. that and then you have the chance to hopefully get one of the items you need that you just cant get in 10m.
