MvP (MLG vs Proleague) Day One

A round up of all the Starcraft II action from the first day of battle

Series IHuk P versus Bisu P

Game  I

A Protoss vs Protoss game that revolves around control and this game features top three control and Brood War’s regimented play style on Entombed Valley.

Huk and Bisu both mirror each other and every fight comes down to the control. A three stalker battle and Huk’s nine minute immortal gateway push both way short and give Bisu a slight lead. Huk's higher Zealot count was negated by Bisu’s force fields as Bisu’s Stalker Immortal number was able to out micro Huk's Zealots.

Bisu tries to extend his lead with a Immortal drop into Huk’s natural expansion with pressure at the front ramp.

However. Bisu mistimes the attack at the ramp and loses both Immortals and the Warp Prism. With no Immortals, the gateway's attack is shut down by the superior tech.

Huk now has Colossus tech and goes right on the counter attack, taking the win with a straight up fight at Bisu’s natural expansion.

Game II
Once again a game based around control as both players take mirror builds, this time facing off on Daybreak.
Bisu opens the game with some two gate aggression and deals good damage until Huk’s Blink finishes a few seconds earlier, forcing Bisu’s retreat.
Both take their natural expansions and once again Huk gets the colos lead with much earlier tech.
Bisu attacks at fourteen minutes with an aggressive blink taking down Huk’s Colossus and then forces Huk into a defensive position by his Nexus. Bisu finds a blink opening into Huk’s base to take down probes killing twenty six probes in total over the game forcing Huk into an all or nothing attack.
With his superior colossus tech, Huk manages to take the fight to Bisu’s natural expansion forcing a favourable outcome. As Bisu tries to eliminate the colossus, Huk’s gateway units are left standing and with the siege on Bisu’s production facilities he is forced to tap out.
