50% Off EverQuest and EverQuest II Expansions

As of August 27th Expansions will no longer be available for Station Cash.

This notice was posted today on the EverQuest and EverQuest II forums:

Starting Monday, August 27th, 2012, we will no longer accept Station Cash as a payment method for Expansions and DLC Packs. Real-world currency will be the only way to purchase these products.

The reason for this is simply that these products require a high level of development resource and are therefore a substantial cost. We want to continue to run aggressive Station Cash promotions, which we know our customers love, but cannot continue to do this and protect the revenue that we need to offset these costs.

In consideration of our players who would like the opportunity to purchase current Expansion and DLC Packs with Station Cash, we are running a 50% discount on them from Friday August 10th until Sunday August 12th*.

As always, if you have questions about your Station Account or Station Cash Balance, please contact customer service at http://www.soe.com/support.

I am starting to wonder if AOD was worth $20... They pretty much ruined Dungeon Maker dungeons with all the nerfs. Mercs I feel are more useful in Eq1 than in Eq2 and you don't have to buy an expansion with eq1 for them. Worst of all AOD wasn't even an all in one which is pretty lame considering the pricetag and being digital only.

Hi
I'll pay real money if it's really worth it...

Age of Discovery was an expansion pack that was not worth 50 bux. If they think it was really worth that much they should have split the mercs and the dungion maker features so we can choose to pay for certain things we want, not the whole kit & caboodle.

I definitely will not get the next xpac right away if they charge that much. I'm not even sure if they will lower it after awhile. I used to be able to wait for the store copies to do that, but they cornered the market by making them download only. :(

will do what i been doing not be able to afford expansion right away and definatly not afford all of em , some are getting left behind little by little so even less expansions for me now

instead of making it so botters bought a few expansions by possibly making it so if u bought more than one (ie boxer) u make it so its too financially difficult to keep up

Consider giving a discount to folks that used to dump more money at once (boxers)
