Can Mists of Pandaria Save WoW?

Has Blizzard solved the puzzle with Mists of Pandaria?

The Weekly Marmot focuses on that question and tackles the thorny issue of just what direction MoP will take Azeroth for the massive fanbase.

With the recent reveal of the drop in WoW subscriptions, there's a lot of attention on MoP beyond even the usual incredible interest for the biggest subscription MMO in the world. With this in mind Josh "Lore" Allen takes a look at MoP and just what it means for the life cycle of the game.

Is MoP just about Pandas and Pokemon, or is there much more under the hood to tempt back old players and appeal to new arrivals to WoW?

As far as bringing people back, the last expansion looked at making it hard again. Yes we know the hardcore want it harder. If Blizzard wants to raise the subscriptions back up they are going to have to go back to the easier style again. No it won't make the hardcore happy but Blizzard has to realize the hard core are NOT their base. There is also a HUGE base who do not raid/PVP, they don't have the time to dedicate set times to raid, these too are the base they have to give more weight too.
