Get 50% back on most Marketplace purchases over Memorial Day weekend.

From Friday, May 25, 2012 at 12:01 pm (noon) Pacific through Monday, May 28, 2012 at 11:59 pm Pacific you’ll get an instant rebate for half your Station Cash back when you purchase almost anything in the EverQuest II Marketplace! Rebates will be clearly displayed in game, and the 50% will be immediately refunded to you your Station Wallet.

Recurring subscriptions are not eligible for the 50% rebate.

ZAM clarification on the "recurring subscription" statement: We have confirmed that SOE's disclaimer means that recurring subscriptions cannot be purchased using a rebate (which they can't be purchased with SC anyways, but are listed in the Marketplace), NOT that recurring subscribers cannot take advantage of the rebate promo.

Hi Cyliena,
I tested this rebate deal and it is indeed the case that subscribers do not get the 50% back. I bought an item for 100 SC and go no rebate. So I tried it today and the rebates now work. I would seem that Sony was a little slow in getting it set up.

Who besides subscription customers would be buying items? So this 50% rebate is a joke, nobody that plays the game can get it. It looks good on paper but it isn't really there!!

To clarify, I'm fairly certain that what they mean by "Recurring subscriptions are not eligible for the 50% rebate." is that you cannot get a rebate on recurring subscriptions (which is redundant anyways--you can't purchase recurring subs with SC). Yes, it reads poorly and sounds like recurring subscribers cannot take advantage of this sale, but I really cannot imagine them cutting out recurring subscribers.
