Patch Notes - April 18, 2012

No official downtime announcement has gone up but the patch notes for Wednesday, April 18 are available.

GENERAL

  • Fall of Estarim items are now on display at the LoN Museum.

ABILITIES / ALTERNATE ADVANCEMENT
Updated the login message for alternate advancement point conversion to only show if you actually gained points and how many points you have gained.

If you have maximum alternate advancement points and you are not max level, you will automatically be set to 0% alternate advancement conversion rate the first time you gain experience.

NOTE: If you set your alternate advancement conversion slider back up after that first time it will stay and not be reset automatically again.

Swashbuckler

  • Fixed a bug which prevented Bladespinner from resetting Lucky Gambit.

DUNGEON FINDER

  • Dungeons should now show up as options for 91+ players.

QUESTS
Withered Lands

  • Removed references to grelga's spade in both the base and repeatable versions of her quests.
  • Removed references to a wellspring cub on Drelvin's leash.

I cannot speak to the games you have listed since I have not played them. I can however say that EQ2 and EQ are both exceptional games. That fact speaks for itself considering how many people play both of them. If you do not enjoy playing EQ2, please feel free to stop playing. However, do those of us who enjoy the game a huge favor and stop insulting us and the good people at SOE who spend countless hours improving our world of Norrath so we have a wonderful place to gather and adventure.

I would like to take this time to personally thank Sony for having the foresight to move the AA slider to zero when people are max AA before the level cap increase. Or breaking out a calculator and at least estimating the XP gain for people who logged in yesterday and turned in over 100 collections and got nothing but an offer to roll their account back after they spent 6 hours running access quests with guildies. Nope, not bitter or anything :OP
ONLY sony make you pay to put on every single bloody item.

I've been playing both EQ and EQ2 from the beginning of both. I will admit that when my Beloved game went F2P I wasn't very happy about it. But just now, reading your post here, I would have to agree with Kiyoshie on this. If you wish to NOT have to unlock every item you get in the new update, than you should pay like the rest of us who have paid, faithfully, Even though we don't need to.

I Commend SONY for this attempt to get new players and all. But I still don't think I'm to happy about the whole F2P thing just yet.

Do you really think that if you are playing for free, that you should have all the same rights and abilities as those who pay for a subscription? Think about what you say before you say it.
