Blizzard just announced that the remote Guild Chat feature has been added to the World of Warcraft Mobile Armory app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The Android version of the feature should be released soon. As previously outlined, this feature allows players to participate in guild chat, send whispers to their guildmates and more through their phone.
Players will ultimately need to pay $2.99 per month to subcribe to the World of Warcraft remote service to gain access to the remote Guild Chat feature, as well as buy and sell items on the Auction House. However, Blizzard is currently offering a limited free trial period so players can try out the Guild Chat feature without a subscription.
During the free preview, Blizzard will be rolling out the Guild Chat feature to select realms, with more realms being added in the future. The feature is currently only available on the Fizzcrank and Lightbringer servers, but keep checking the announcement as the service will eventually be made available on all realms.
