This game sounds awesome so far I would love a key, I need something better than whats out there for the I love the world so far.

Is it acceptable behavior to beg for a VIP key? Does bribery work? :)

so how far are we looking at a release for this game? really want to try this game but also want Final fantasy 14 but if this is better i want to dedicate to just one MMO

Want to check Rift out BADLY! The world of Telara is really inspiring, I hadn't participated in any phase of beta yet, but I hope I'll get to taste Rift's game play this time. Looking forward to seeing you guys, and fire squirrels of course, in game!

NDA is up and Now let all the talk Begin. I have enjoyed the first 2 betas for Rift(still seeking a VIP key though) and have greatly enjoyed what i have been seeing so far. The Rifts are Awesome....especially when one of the GM's tries to Spawn 2000 Monsters in the excact same spot(until it crashed that is, I believe this was the first crash too). Well heres hoping for Beta 3. And Keep Closing those Rifts!!!

I played in both betas and hope to continue in the 3rd. What makes this game more fun than any other I have played is the rifts, for sure. You never know when they will strike. When they do, the area gets a greenish or reddish tint to it, there is a sound like a freight train boring down on you and the next thing you know mobs appear all around you and then the fun begins. As has been mentioned before, the game ran smoothly no matter how many people and mobs were in the area at the same time. One invasion I was right in the middle of everything, so much happening I could barely see what I was doing, and still the game ran without a hitch. It was such a blast I can't begin to describe what it felt like to be part of a huge bunch of people running after these mobs from one place to another. The bosses were really tough....one had over 200k in hp...but what a wonderful fight it was. I believe that at some point these invasions can actually take down towns if the players can't stop them, so it really matters, unlike other MMO's.

There are issues that need to be addressed, but imho, nothing that stops the game from being totally enjoyable to play. The bottom line for any MMO is how much fun it is to play and I was lmao during the invasion, so I guess Rift is doing something right.

i am liking what i am seeing in the forums about the beta the game is going to be really good. i am really happy to see that there is some skill in the game. i skill tree really kool. i hop to see you all in the game and i know that i well be buying this game.

I was in both beta events and to tell the truth i didnt want to play more than 5 minutes in the second closed beta.
The game just didnt draw my attention and there wasn't sth unique about the game.
It was like seeing wow with worse graphics,sound and music.
I think trion should reconsider releasing this game cause it's going to fail seriously.
Wow cataclysm is still better than this.
Furthermore Dcuo(which is awesome in beta),swtor and gw2 coming so i dont see any light for rift

I played the two beta events so far, and I have to say that I'm amazed. It's very much like EQ2, which I love to play, but the main difference is the rifts. I didn't think much of them when I started, but I've grown to love them. I'm a quester, and I tend to get pretty focused on the quests, but when I'm out killing spiders or snakes or whatever, the crack of the rift opening really gets my attention. Everyone comes running, and it's just a free-for-all for quite a while until groups get organized. The cool thing is, even if you're not in a group and are not able to contribute all that much (these are like ^^^ mobs running around in groups of six or eight), you still share in the loot. Scott Hartsman posted that this weekend we had a rift with 450 people participating. Not all of them were in one place. Rifts open in many places simultaneously, and the mobs run from one to another. So, there's a lot of running around.

You might think that having tons of players in one place would bring your computer to a crawl, but it's not that way. One thing that amazes me is how smoothly it runs. I have quality turned up all the way and I get a fraps of about 15, which would be stuttering in most games, but in Rift it's very smooth. I did not notice any slowing down in rifts with lots of players.

Anyway, I'm sold. This game is for me.
