Experience for Levels 71-80 Will be Reduced by 20%

Zarhym made the announcement in a thread that explains the differences between 4.0.3a and Cataclysm.

World of Warcraft player Sammew posted a thread on the official World of Warcraft forums that explains what is and isn't being implemented in patch 4.03a. Zarhym responded to the thread and announced that the experience required to gain levels 71 through 80 is being reduced by 20% in the upcoming patch. He also mentioned that druids, paladins, priests, and shaman will have their talent trees reset.

Blizzard has made similar exp adjustments in previous expansions to keep the time it takes to level a character to the new cap from getting too lengthy. You can read Sammew's explanation of the differences between 4.0.3a and Cataclysm after the jump.

With the loss of the Portals out of Dalaran to the capitol cities, the only method of transport will be the Zeppelins again. And based on how things are about to change something tells me that Dal is gonna become the ONLY safe place in Azeroth.

Why make it easier to level 71-80? it's not exactly hard today and people will get to 85 in no time at all, dumbing down the game much are we?

they did the same thing with 1-60 and 61-70, it is just to try to make it so people dont feel like it will take TOO long to level a new character and wont feel like they have to keep playing the same character cause it will be too hard to level another one

they did not say anything about flight in azeroth. IS it going to come with 4.0.3a or are we going to have to wait till dec7 to fly everywhere?

still sucks they are removing portals. otherwise it all looks great.
