World of WarcraftInfinite Dust Fix Delayed; Achievement Clarified
Blizzard has made a couple clarifications on the official forums regarding the disenchanting and shattering hotfix and the Sinister Calling achievement. Bornakk had stated in the in-game fixes thread that "disenchanting and shattering has been slightly altered to provide more Infinite Dust than before," but Zarhym confirmed that the hotfix has been delayed. The fix will be applied sometime in the near future.
As for the Hallow's End achievement, here's what Bornakk had to say about it: "The text says that both a Hallowed Helm and a Sinister Squashling pet need to be 'obtained' for the achievement to be complete. More specifically, the pet needs to be learned and become part of your pet spell book for that part to be complete. The Hallowed Helm on the other hand needs to be looted by the character to fulfill that aspect of the achievement."

Granted, my DK is complete, but all my other toons have been waiting since last year to complete the meta because they have yet to get the pet. My DK on the other hand has looted the pet 3 times from the treat bag. Make the pet BOE, BOA, change the achievement to helm OR pet, or just remove it from the meta already.
And trust me, i got laid off last month, i've had plenty of time to farm the hell out of "trick or treat" on my toons.
Yeah, you really shouldn't try and state your bad luck as "fact."
I'm unemployed also and I was rotating through 8 toons every hour at least 10 shots per day. At the end of 3 days of this, I had 3 toons with the pet and 3 others with the helm. And my main still had neither. Meanwhile a friend with ONE toon on my server got the pet 3 times in a row.
My main finally got the pet from the HH. The next morning the helm dropped on a guild run of HH, and my guildies let me have it because they all knew it was the last thing I needed for the "What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been" meta achievement.
Meanwhile a friend with ONE toon on my server got the pet 3 times in a row.
Considering the pet's drop rate is 0.8% from the treat bags and 1.6% from the daily Crudely Wrapped Gift, I call BS. If you're going to make stuff up to back up your argument at least try to make it halfway believable.
You really shouldn't trust that your "good luck" means there is no problem.
Let's quote what you said one more time -
"fact that no one" being the main part. ONE person saying otherwise proves you wrong.
