The Ethics of Mouse & Keyboard on Consoles

By midnight tonight, a legion of fans will finally descend on the world of Destiny. Most will be playing with a controller. A small percent will use a mouse and keyboard.

One of 2014's best games isn't coming PC. As such, PC gamers are finding a way to get their fix. With a peripheral costing $60 to $120, their input-of-choice is ready to go. Do a mouse and keyboard (M&KB) have an inherent advantage over controllers? Is it a problem? Let's ask a few questions and find out.

Xbox One: Kinect-less for $399

We all knew this day was coming, didn’t we?

Microsoft has announced that, starting June 9th, you can grab a Kinect-less Xbox One for $399 – a $100 price drop from the bundled version. This is on the heels of their announcement that streaming apps like Netflix, YouTube, and ESPN will no longer require an Xbox Live Gold account.

GDC Hands-On With the Morpheus and Oculus Rift

This year at GDC, ZAM was on the scene to check everything out. Join Lindsay Ferguson as she goes hands-on with both Sony's Project Morpheus and OculusVR's Oculus Rift as well as gets some feedback from the GDC crowd.

PlayStation Now to Offer Streaming Game Service

Remember the merger with Sony and Gaikai back in July of 2012? We sure do, and we're finally seeing the fruit of the merger. Introducing PlayStation Now, Sony's streaming service that streams libraries of PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 titles to the home television. Exciting and somewhat controversial, the service allows users to play PlayStation content directly streamed through servers. Massive download times and annoying patches are the thing of the past, as games will constantly be updated as the service improves. Sony plans to spread the PS Now service across a mutlitude of platforms, eventually expanding to include the PlayStation Vita and the BRAVIA TV line.

The battle raging across Auraxis has taken another turn after Update 02 arrived for PlanetSide 2.

SOE has already been busy making additions on a regular basis to sharpen up the game's balance and gameplay but the new patch holds a host of improvements.
