Unless you've been living in the Dalaran sewers, you've probably heard about a little game called League of Legends by Riot Games. What many folks don't seem to realize, however, is that its gameplay is based on an old Warcraft 3 mod called "Defense of the Ancients."  DotA, as it was called, nearly single-handedly popularized the multi-player online battle arena (MOBA) genre, and the rest is history.

Major League Gaming has a major league weekend planned! The MLG Fall Championship kicks off today in Dallas, Texas, with a huge event - over 1,500 gamers will be competing for more than US$180,000 in prizes! 

Just moments ago,the Final Fantasy XI Community Team created VanaFest2010 groups on Facebook.  Users can join:

In addition, an English website has launched!  Here, you can see Matt Hilton, Devin Casadey from the NA Community Team and Kohei from the European Community Team will be dispatched to Japan as special correspondants.
