Heroes of the Storm: The Mayhem Begins

The Heroes of the Storm event was, at first, an odd thing. Being in LA up in the mountains around non-descript buildings, sand-laden parking lots and boring landscapes was nothing to write a symphony about. The parking lot for YouTube was small, so I was directed to an overflow lot. Nothing lept out of me saying "This is YouTube, folks, we're kind of a big deal," so it was safe to say that anonymity was important. However, the next place I went was enough to include in this article.

Marvel Heroes: David Brevik Talks Endgame

Comic book fans rejoice, as Marvel Heroes, the new Diablo-esque MMO from Gazillion Entertainment is on the horizon.  I was given the privilege of sitting down with game creator David Brevik, most well known as the man behind the games Diablo and Diablo 2.  In our discussion, Brevik outlined many of the finer details about the game, and gave us clear insight into what the overall experience will include, as well as how the experience as a player can unfold on a person to person basis.

Starting with the basics, we were told that the game will have a standard style progressive story mode that, depending on how grindy your play style is, will leave you in the high 20s to low 30s of the level progression.  We were also informed that the game is officially announcing a level cap of 60, at release.  Theoretically, the level cap would increase with expansions or added content, but we didn’t get that far in our discussion, so that’s pure speculation.  However, Brevik made it very clear that the game will be updated and maintained with the vigor of any good MMO.

It's All In The Mask

What's a superhero without a costume? Imagine Iron Man without "the suit". Captain America without his shield. The Hulk without his green. Truthfully they'd still be pretty awesome, but costumes are absolutely essential to the superhero experience! No one better understands this than Marvel, and the folks at Gazillion are giving us all the costumes we can handle in their upcoming free-to-play MMO action-RPG Marvel Heroes

Battlefield: Heroes Bringing Holiday Cheer

Free-to-Play third-person shooter Battlefield Heroes has begun ushering in the holiday spirit by releasing their own Advent Calander and new video, announcing and giving away new holiday themed items every day until the 25th of December. With the game boasting 15 million registered users, that's a lot of gifting.

So far we've gotten Santa outfits and winter combat uniforms for both National and Royal players, various new and returning cosmetic items, a new weapon customization feature, and discounts on winter camo skins for your guns. Today's gift marked the glorious return of the snow maps, as well as a new snowy version of an existing map "Midnight Mayhem".

If you're interested in chaotic third-person shootfests, a psuedo-WWII setting, or free things and snow maps, now would be a great time to look into Battlefield Heroes. Keep checking their site each day to keep up with new items, features, and giveaways.
