With the December edition of the Darkmoon Faire kicking off this past weekend, Wowhead has unleashed a complete guide to Battle Pets found in Patch 5.1 Landfall. Yes, that includes the brand-new ones located on Darkmoon Island.
Secretive and elusive the Pandaren race is one of the most revered in all of Azeroth … at least to the fans of the ever-evolving Warcraft universe. Although they were once a proud ally to the night elves in Kalimdor, they have since moved on and separated themselves from the rest of the world. So now that the Pandarens are once again showing themselves in Warcraft (in the form of a player pet), World of Warcraft players are as eager to pick up a piece of Pandaren merchandise as they are to nab the latest murloc plush toy.
Thus, when Blizzard partnered with the DC Unlimited toy company to produce a Pandaren action figure, the editors at ZAM were more than a little interested. We finally got our hands on one of these toys, and we’re ready to give it our detailed run-down (and don’t forget that you have your own chance to win one of these figurines over at Wowhead).
So is it worth the $49.99 price tag from the Blizzard store? Keep reading to find out!
The time of year has come again. No, not tax season: Chinese New Year. And while we go from the Year of the Rat to the Year of the Ox, it also marks the time when World of Warcraft players celebrate the Lunar Festival.
The Lunar Festival consists of festivities that are based off of the Burning Legion being defeated all those centuries ago. Omen, a demigod red-eyed wolf with two heads, spawns around this time of year in Moonglade. Along with the constant-partying comes questing, and there are quite a few of those. Regardless, it is now time to whip out the fireworks and enjoy the shows in Stormwind, Thunder Bluff and Booty Bay when Chinese New Year hits, as they Blizzard makes them correlate as much as possible.
For those of you in the questing sort of mood, check out the festival guide over at our sister site, Wowhead. It can be a difficult series for even the most seasoned of veterans, so the advice for them is welcome and necessary. This year is going to be quite the shindig, to say the least!
That's right! Thanks to Upper Deck, Wowhead is hosting an exclusive WoW TCG giveaway! Over the next couple of weeks you can expect to see our friends over at Wowhead run a number of contests giving away in-game loot. I won't spoil what all their giving away, but let's just say, this isn't a contest you want to miss.
How to Win
Just post your contest entry as a comment in the daily contest blog post. This time, the question is:“What was the most epic loot drop you've ever gotten?”
It doesn't have to be an epic item – it could be an epic battle, it could be an item that comes after hours and hours of farming – as long as for you, it was epic.
At the end of each day, we will randomly select two entrants from the blog comments, and award them a loot card!
For more information about the contest, head on over to Wowhead !
Malgayne from Wowhead just dropped me a note about their newest feature - an animated 3D viewer!
That's right, we've made an upgrade to the 3D modelviewer ! In addition to being able to see all of your favorite items and NPCs in three dimensions, now the high-quality Java version of the modelviewer is fully animated !
This works on NPCs as well as on character models. Try it for yourself, and see your favorite creatures from a new perspective!
This is awesome! Good job guys!
