It's alive!

With 19 hours to spare, Mark Jacobs and the rest of the City State Entertainment team can raise a toast in celebration as the Kickstarter project for Camelot Unchained has reached its goal.

The passion of the Camelot Unchained community has been fervent throughout the campaign; in no small part due to the focused, innovative content promised in the RvR MMO.

Each time I hear or read something new about Camelot Unchained I get a bit more excited (or a lot more in this case).

As outlined in the latest Kickstarter update, CU will have an ability to customize the game world which will be different to any other MMO currently on the market.

The post-devastation era in which the game exists will require players to help in rebuilding the world in a way that extends beyond the usual narrative devices that players might be used to.

"Being safe is for tourists and for most casual games.
This is the wrong game, wrong genre, wrong developer and wrong time to be safe." 

With those words, Mark Jacobs, co-founder and ex of Mythic, opened the latest blog entry for Camelot Unchained, the Kickstarter-bound working title for the upcoming MMORPG under development at his new studio, City State Entertainment.

As you can imagine, we were excited to hear the news of Mark re-entering the MMORPG space, and even more so when he agreed to answer a few questions for us! - (Hibernia) The quest ‘Beginning of War’ is an old starter quest that is no longer offered.  Because of conflicts that could arise by players that still have the quest pending in their journal when they attempt to complete this quest, the quest has been shortened.  Characters on steps 14 through 18 can check their journal to see the new simpler goal and how to receive their reward.
