If you haven't, go pick up Giant Sized Astonishing X-Men.

Joss Whedon just ended his arc, it was epic, and I need a shoulder to cry on.

I liked the book (and all issues before it)a lot. However, all of the delays, knowing that Kitty was missing/dead/gone before hand ruined this issue for me. The writing and art were top knotch; the dialoug between Kitty and Emma was great. However, the delays killed it for me.

Throw in some really wierd plot holes, like why everyone turned into a drooling "zombie" and where the heck Lockheed was made me even more frustrated. At first, when I saw the drool, I thought "Hell yeah, Cassandra Nova is back!" But, I guess it was some sort of "magic"

I'm looking foward to July's Astonishing X-Men with Warren Ellis at the helm. I really like the cast and I hope that it's not delayed all to hell like Whedon's run.

I tend to give Cassady some slack.

I waited YEARS between issues of Planetary & they were still worth it.

So, now that Whedon is gone and Ellis has taken over, what do you think? I like the new cast and the writing so far. The art suits the book as well. Thoughts?

Time will tell. X-400 isnt out yet and all the other books have them in SF already, so im a bit lost continuity wise.
