Engineering belt tinker that doesn't backfire?Follow

My priest has engineering, and I'm having trouble figuring out which belt tinker to use with her. She's shadow, and already has the foot speed enchant. The speed bonus would be kind of redundant, and it has a tendency to explode so that's a no go. I've heard that the backfires on the shield tinker can actually cause you to gain large amounts of threat so that could be bad unless Fade would help counter-act that?

I'd like to use a belt enchant, but not if it's going to potentially cause issues in a raiding environment. Anyone have any suggestions?

I could be wrong here, but i'm just wondering why choose one of the engineering belt items instead of the belt buckle? Wouldn't the extra gem slot be better than any of the tinkering plans?

The only one I can really see being of any use in raids would be the Grounded Plasma Sheild for the small damage sheild. Maybe the Cardboard Assassin in case of add emergencies.

They stack. Smiley: tongue

I did mention the shield tinker in my op. They have issues too, but I'm not sure if fade (the priest threat dump) would counteract the threat issue or not. If it did, it'd probably be worth it. What do the cardboard things do?

I'm a healer, and I use the Cardboard Assasin. It's a target dummy with 70k health and an aoe taunt, that you can drop with no mats needed. I have it bound to a key so that I can drop it on the run if something is after me. It's like having another fade available.

Aduh, I forgot about that until I picked up my t11 gloves tonight. I put an enchant on em right away and kinda forgot about the tinker for them. I put the Springs tinker on my gloves and noticed the enchant stayed. I immediatly thought about this thread and /facepalmed...

lol yeah, all three tinkers stack with regular enchants and item enhancements. I suppose the only reason why I know that is because I did research on engineering before I started it up.

Thanks Dadanox, I'll try the cardboard assassin then.
