Milling/prospecting macrosFollow

Decided to destroy a few grand worth of herbs for the darkmoon cards and gotta say that milling is in desperate need of an auto-mill feature. Found a macro though to make milling and prospecting a bit less painful though -

/cast Prospecting or Milling
/use herb/ore

You need to swap the name of the herb or ore each time but at least it reduces the process down to just a button push. What's the code for adding a pause to a macro so that you could hit the button and then mill/prospect, wait for it to finish and autoloot and then have it do it again - that way you could take out a whole stack or more with a single button push?

Can you combine macros as well? For example, make a macro that does an entire stack and then make a second macro that activates the first, then waits for however long it takes the first to finish and then activates it again, thus taking out several stacks with a single button?

You'll have to push the button for each mill, multiple actions per click aren't possible in any way for as far as I know due to the possibilities of abuse.

You can do

/cast Milling
/use Cinderbloom
/use Heartblossom
/use Whiptail
...
..
.

but you have to make sure everything is in stacks of 5, if you get close to being done with cinderbloom and you have 3 left it will say you don't have enough and will have to like put it in the bank or something, it will continue on down the /use list.

The same basic macro works for disenchanting, if you're crafting e.g. jewelry for the saronite/obsidium/elementium shuffle, or BS/LW gear for illusion dust/eternal essences.

I guess the big question is why hasn't Blizz given us a DE/Mill/Prospect window like miners have a smelting window?

I'd even be happy if it simply created a window that you can drop 20 items into and then hit "destroy" and let it start scrapping the stuff.

are you able to give an example of one, or a link to where one is shown?

I can understand doing that for milling and prospecting, as there are a limited amount of herbs/ore to deal with in the box, but I don't know how they would do it for DE. To list every single item would be a total waste of time and resources, but if they simply did like uncommon, rare, epic, then you really don't know which one is being DE'd.

Though I agree it would be nice if they did milling/prospecting like smelting where I can "set it and forget it!"

Exactly. The auctioneer Enchantrix module has auto-disenchant settings. These are aimed at advanced users of a complex addon, and they /still/ have to be ringed with fearsome warnings. And you still don't get as much control as you'd like, at least without risking e.g. gear you're wearing.

Champions Online has a system for "disenchanting" that works very well, you pretty much drop everything you want to destroy into a bag of sorts, see what kind of mats you can expect from it (If I recall correctly) and one click destroys everything.

Like I said, just make it a container that you drop the thing in - give it, say, 16 slots and a button and when pushed, it asks if you're sure you want to trash everything in it and if yes, it'll self DE the same way you smelt.
