With the need for large amounts of volatile's I was wondering if anyone is willing to share their farming spots and strategies. I got all mine minning so far, and well it's not a bad way it is a little slow and unpredictable.
Fishing will give you a great supply of water.
Skinning will occasionally produce a bloated stomach which can have any of them in it.
Herbalism gets life of course.
Alchemist can turn 15 lifes into 14-16 of the others on a once a day CD - you can choose which one you want by hitting specific zones - Mount Hyjal: Volatile Fire Vashj'ir: Volatile Water Deepholm: Volatile Earth Uldum: Volatile Air
Otherwise just grind the type of elemental you want.

If you fish you can get a large amount of Volatile Fire fishing in the lava around Sulfuron Spire in "Pool of Fire" and in Cannon's Inferno in Twilight Highlands. I got 19 fire in Twilight Highlands today in one lap around the area, took about 5 minutes.

Oh, looks like my fisherman is gonna hit Twilight Highlands then!
