Bags back in businessFollow

So I've been running my gal's priest alt through the Outland instances and been scoring a ton of netherweave in the process, so much so that my tradeskill bank toon is flooded. The cloth doesn't go for jack on the AH but the 16 slot bags it makes run for 9-10g - fair enough - better profit then bandages.

Apparently there must be a huge number of alts coming in (or peeps are stocking up for the xpac) because I can't keep them in stock - I've sold 40 in the last 24 hours! Not a fortune admittedly, but nice cash for cloth that borders on merchant trash at the moment.

Hmm, that's not a bad idea. Especially since I'm only getting about 40g per bag for Frostweave bags... which really irks me since I used to be able to get twice that before I quit a few months ago. It could be the server change though, I'm not sure.

I'm choked that I was too lazy to stock up on Glacial bags - with the obscene CD on them they're going for an easy 500-600g each.

I haven't seen anything yet but I'm wishing for the Blizzard Gods to have a larger bag to be made via tailoring and as someone else was wishing for maybe a way to make the backpack larger somehow, maybe an enchant like the portable holes in D&D?

Whilst I don't make them regularly, simply because I don't specifically go farming for Netherweave, I've never had a problem moving Netherweave bags on the occasions I've listed them on the AH.

I think it's mainly because there's always new toons/alts "coming up" or being rolled - and compared to Runecloth bags (14 slot but non binding) price-wise, teamed with the fact that most if not all players have a reasonable amount of gold on them, I guess means a fairly steady stream of sales of this type of bag.

While I don't make a ton of gold, I usually get between 160g and 200g every day just by buying all netherweave cloth at less than 4g a stack(20s each) and selling the bags for 8-10 gold each. Not much, but a trickle everyday that more than covers repair costs.

I've sold netherweave bags off and on since TBC, the demand never seems to die down. People are always rolling fresh alts, and 40-50g for full 16 slot bags while leveling is very worthwhile for almost anyone.

It seems that netherweave bags sell very well. They are cheap to make (20 cloths make 1 bag, plus a rune thread), and sell for 8-10g on my server. Only downside is the 15 second creation time per bag. Compared to the mat cost of a frostweave bag. I can easily make a couple hundred gold per day by selling these things.

The time is no big deal - just set your toon to create all and then afk to desk, grab a soda, change for bed/work or something else - that's what I do when I've got 20 bags to make.

I have no problem moving significant volumes of Netherweave bags on weekends, holidays and on occasion during the week. On my realm I've found that a sufficient supply of Netherweave cloth is always available - don't know why that is, but I have bolts of Netherweave coming out of my ears, a supply I hope should keep me going through at least a week in Cataclysm, provided I have several tailors cranking out bags simultaneously if that's what it takes to keep the supply up.
I've also found that some other bags, specifically Mooncloth (16-slot non BOE) and Frostweave move in smaller volumes but are just as good to make, provided you can find enough Felcloth and get enough cheap Infinite Dust to keep the profits up. As icing on the cake or whipped cream on the pie, I also sell leg threads - they go quite well on weekends and after prime raid times.

Very late to the party I guess, but since I have a hunter alt blitzzing through OL I'm going to try this out see if I make some nice penny off his leveling endeavors through my mage alt, who's the tailor ofc.
